Maybe not Romo but I expect players like Hopkins and Bouye (maybe Demps) would. If I were in their shoes, that hometown discount just shrunk in size a little bit.
Just how bad is the Texans o-line? The other day Sean Jones made a comment that it does not matter who the Texans get at QB if they don't fix the o-line.
Well they are set at LT at least one of the guard spots and at center. They have no RT whatsoever, seriously a traffic cone would do about the same job and they have a potential need at one of the guard spots if XSF doesn't get better at pass blocking, love his run blocking, but he gets QB's killed. So yeah, they aren't THAT far off of having a pretty damn good O line.....but it's kind of like having a boat with a big hole in the middle that is otherwise tip top.
It's funny people think it's some crazy take that these QB's want to play for us. Name one other team that is a QB away from competing as much as we are... Maaaaaybe Denver.
I have been saying it for months, check my post. Jay Cutler is the guy we need. He's cheap, he's underrated and he's younger than Romo with a shorter injury list.People knock on Cutler because he has bad body language but he is a good qb. I'd rather have Cutler than Romo. Sign Cutler and with the first pick take a right tackle and then get a qb in the second or third
Hard to predict what his or Romo's market value will be if released. There are a lot of teams in need of a QB this summer and it could really take just one team to overpay and throw things off. These guys will need to give us a discount if they want to come here.
Cutler ain't setting the free agent qb market. He's probably going to get backup money on a two year, second year option prove it deal. I think a lot of gms and and teams respect him but his rep is scorched earth
