Don't know what the point of the post is but I do like their burgers and fries. Amazing that people want fries from a frozen bag. PTerry's shows you can do real fries in a fast food environment.
P. Terry's is a-ok. I'd go to other options in Austin first (Phil's Ice House, Mighty Fine) before I ate there, but it'll do.
I'm someone else who isn't sure what the OP is thinking. I guess I'm wondering, have they opened P. Terry's burger places in Houston? I know another Austin chain, Rudy's, is serving good BBQ in H-Town. Kinda nice to see some local Austin chains having success. Agree with VooDooPope that P. Terry's shows how to make real fresh french fries and also "all natural" burgers and is serving them up cheap, quick, and tasty. I prefer Dan's in Austin (they make good malts), but frequently get "eats to go" at P. Terry's when I have to have a burger, and fast. One's not far from home. No argument from me. More expensive, though, and Mighty Fine (and they are mighty fine) doesn't have drive-thru. Just remembered Phil's. There's one on S. Lamar now and they have drive-thru. Excellent burgers, etc., but like Mighty Fine, they aren't cheap.
I'm guessing OP is a franchisee now? Never been to P.Terry's but I've wanted to, tried Mighty Fine once and they overcooked my burger. The Phil's on Burnet is close to my brother's place but I've never stopped in there.
Im second in command behind patrick himself. My name is Carson. If you ever ask for Carson at these shops then they will give you free burgers
My kids love P.Terry's to the point they don't really like burgers from other places that much. I prefer Hat Creek, Hopdoddy (though expensive and a pain)... Mighty Fine is about the same. I've met Pat, and his youngish CFO... haven't heard of a Carson working there... are you sure you're not just a new fry cook??
I'm always surprised at how little love Phil's gets. The bread is sweet like a Hawaiian roll and their burgers have some delicious toppings. I think the big problem is that they always share a space with Amy's and have playgrounds, attracting a lot of young kids.
This is the burger to order at Phil's. I used to get the San Miguel, but it was taken off of the menu last time I went.
