I trust some of you legal, diehard Houstonians would love to harbor these passionate members of society to stick it to that heinous old man, Donwald Thunk.

How dare he suggest enacting laws on things that are illegal?

My sources close to the border tell me Houston has long become a hub for violent crimes from immigrants. Not surprising the few good looking women left have long since moved to Austin.

    Doubt anyone support violent criminals.

You must be dreaming, wishing, hoping, high, have so much hate or something to think that.

I doubt people support violent criminals. If you meant something else, state it directly.

I was very explicit - did you support them before they became "violent criminals"?

Them, as these gang members personally? Or them as in the context of illegal immigration?

Illegal immigrants don't actually bother me and I don't get scared by violent events that are in fact a very rare occurrence. If you actually cared about violent crime you would be talking about the war on drugs.

Babies just born aren't yet violent, but has the potential to be when they grow up. I certainly, and most people I would think, would not have an issue with babies.

Yes, that could be a silly answer, but that's what you get for being explicitly unclear, probably on purpose. But if you care to be clear, we can continue.

You must be a big fan of Nixon and Reagan. And besides, I'm certain that their affiliated gang has nothing to do with drugs. Nothing.

Two days before they committed the murder: would you have advocated for their continued illegal stay in this country?

Texas has executed only a few illegal aliens but there was major backlash for each. It's a shame too because these two don't deserve to see April and should be executed this month after a quick and cheap trial. Instead Texans will way for these two to have three hot meals a day, room and board, and probably their public defenders cost too. What a waste of time and money.

Yep, not a fan of a big police state created by tough on crime conservatives.

Well their gang in Central America does control lucrative drug routes into Mexico. This particular crime, while horrific, is just a blip on the map in the big picture. My point was that if you wanted to make a meaningful difference in violent crime and helping people get decent jobs then you need to end this war. How many men over the age of 18 are felons in the US? That's a lot of folks who will be a drain on the system.

It's funny how conservative labor policies directly contributed to illegal immigration. They wanted to make it easy on employers to hire and consumers wanted low prices.... Here we are.

I agree, sometimes two bullets are much cheaper.

Let's begin to facet this argument.

There are users of "drugs" that pose no real immediate threat in their "enterprise" of consumption. However, there are sellers of "drugs" that pose a real immediate threat due to their "enterprise" of distribution.

I don't think it is appropriate to simply ignore or legalize poisons such as meth, crack, or heroin. However, it may be entirely possible and beneficial to eliminate mandatory sentencing laws, three strike laws, etc for users. However, ignoring the distribution aspect of the drug trade is not beneficial.

In summary, there probably are areas of the "war" that can be amended in their focus, but that has nothing to do with this event. These two persons should not have been in this country, and they should have been deported.
