He's definitely stronger, but durable? Not sure about that...i see a lot of those guys getting more injuries when they get bigger, Parker, Pat himself just to name those who immediately came into my mind, i don't really think being bigger/heavier makes you more durable, at least going forward. That's why i would like the see James losing some weight, imo he would still be by far the much stronger SG out there even with 10/15 pounds less.

Also, this is just an impression so it may very well be wrong (maybe someone has the correct numbers?), but to me it seems he's attacking the basket less and also scoring with a lower % in that situation...?

I remember hearing about Harden's elite skill of slowing down faster than basically every other human on the planet on a Woj podcast. Pretty funny that slowing down (and BBIQ of course) is what sets him apart. Makes sense though.

I agree. He's a better passer and rebounder now, and get's more fouls drawn on 3pt shots.

But it seems odd at his age.

I just have a simple theory: he might just be a little tired at this time of the season. He is doing everything for us.

Doc Rivers said the same things, not his exact words, basicly Doc said the game was so fast for everyone but in slow motion for Harden.

James harden play style is what u would expect when an athletic player is getting old. Instead of explosive power they rely on being crafty and sneaky. I wonder how harden gonna evolved his game when he's older. For sure he gonna last a while playing this style, wish they reduce his mins though

unlike the common perspective on how superstars play, harden's pace is actually very unique in the league. his instant acceleration and deceleration is surprisingly hard to guard and created confusion to his defender. we are blessed to have such a special player in the team:)

I agree about Harden's game but I think he is capable of not walking it up as much. There are times when it really would be helpful to push the tempo and sometimes Harden passes when he should attack. I saw a lot of attacking from him early on last night he, needs to be like that most nights. Although no one is perfect and has "it" every night he could benefit from doing it more than he does.

I think since his game isn't paste on athleticism she should be good for a very long time unlike Westbrook who will lose his talent around 32 - 33 or will get injured a lot.

either you have a terrible basketball mind or you don't watch rockets games. you can't be this blind to the nearly flawless and lethal way this man runs our offense and sets up wide open shots for his teammates. the game moves slow for him and he's a precise decision maker so it seems slow to you. but his decision making is still quick and so is he.

Harden is a lunch pail player in the body of an athletic player.

The two you listed are smaller point guards. They're not driving in and initiating contact with C's and PF's multiple times per game the way Harden, LeBron, Westbrook are.

I thought this was going to be knock (Don) on his partying and being hungover before games.

Ahh, Jabari's was a plant issue, more of a freak incident than overuse. Knee injury's like the one he suffered can happen at any weight. For example, LaVine went down very similarly with an ACL and he is very slim. KD also just had a knee injury on a freak accident as well and he is also slim.

The type of injuries that would be concerning for a player that added weight would be something more along the lines of a stress fracture, a Jones fracture like Simmons had, or tendinitis.

Yeah you're right i guess, but still...adding weight is always going to stress the body more, knees, feet...

The Spurs believe very similarly to how you do. It's why Pop tells them not to dunk unless necessary:)
