You're welcome. You offer sincerity on here, so I wanted to reciprocate. I definitely have deserved sarcasm/criticism/angry rebuttals on here at times, and sometimes I don't feel I deserve them. And, I have dished out some criticism unfairly to others as well, and I'm sorry for that. I would encourage you not to leave the BBS because your contributions are welcome, but breaks are good too. I sincerely hope your day gets better! I have had a long day too, but the Rockets are going to be on TNT tonight and that automatically makes it a little better.

In regards to the widow of Ryan Owens, I won't take back what I said because I think what some Democrats are saying is leading us down a dangerous and slippery slope. Was Trump being disingenuous? I don't know because I can't see the man's heart. I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt. I try my best not to be cynical, but I clearly don't succeed all of the time. I'm inconsistent. Between Obama's tenure into Trump's, I've realized that I need to do better, so I will keep trying.

 

Why do want to protect illegal immigrants?

 

Never did I say he has earned my support for the length of his term. If he turns too much to the left I will probably turn on him. My point is I have zero complaints so far. He is doing much better than I expected. After the trainwreck of an administration we just survived, he has been a breath of fresh air. I hope he keeps it up but I would not be surprised if he moves to the left. There are some things I am not sure about with him like the infrastructure bill and his fair trade plans, as I am a free trade person, but I am willing to give them a chance to find out the details and neither would be enough to make me turn on him if he continues to do as he has on other common sense issues.

 

Because, plenty of them are not bad people. If you are immigrating for an opportunity and a way out of a bad situation then why should you be demonized and put in the same box as killers and rapists? A little more empathy should be shown towards people.

Now answer my question. Why is VOICE only listing crimes of illegal immigrants? Why not all criminals period?

You realize that Bannon had a "Black Crime" section of Breitbart, right? What do you think of that?

 

This may be a big surprise to you but an illegal immigrant is actually committing a crime just by being here. Every single illegal immigrant is a criminal. The word "illegal" should give it away.

 

This is also the same box as pot smokers and bad check writers. Law breakers.

 

Doesn't seem very logical to put pot smokers, bad check writers, illegal immigrants, rapists, and killers....all in the same box.

I doubt you really believe that all of the above should be treated equally.

 

I think they should all have a fair trial.

 

Because the cost of doing the opposite is too high. We've gone too far in one direction, some sort amnesty compromise might be the only thing left (Obama tried that by the way).

 

Positive reviews based on the fact that President Trump has set the bar so low that any speech in which he doesn't sound like an infantile know-nothing is considered magnificent. It's like Corey Brewer's 50-point game. You applaud him for that one standout moment even though you know you're going to get about 5-10 each evening.

It is sad to see how we have accepted the typical mediocrity that is President Trump. Or, should I say: Sad!

 

Just an observation, but currently living a couple of blocks from the capitol here in DC and I've heard more police sirens in the last two months than ever before. It's like every two hours and at least 10x more than before. It's incredible. I don't know if that is coincidence or not, but it's crazy and noticeably different than it used to be around here.

 

Everyday my hatred for the left grows more and more. They criticized Trump for bringing the navy seal's widow as a guest but their mouth were shut when Hillary brought the Khan family to speak at the DNC convention. Hey Dems stop being hypocrites.

 

Yes, because every single Democrat and person on the left is being critical. Just stop. You're cherry-picking on the outrage. That's a handful of people you are referring to- and you're making it sound as if everyone who leans left is doing this.

The left is saying the same thing about the right. "Unbelievable how the right all believe....."- umm, no, not all of them do. Accuracy is important. I'm not saying you're lying, I'm saying that, well, it's like being pissed that Sam Dekker didn't have a double-digit scoring game tonight even though 7 other Rockets did.

And speaking of lying, here's that bastion of truth and justice Kelleyanne Conway, attacking Debbie Wasserman Schultz of not standing to honor the late Navy Seal's wife during Trump's speech. Note it appears the original tweet she was retweeting to make her attack appears to have been pulled.



Of course, like everything about plastic Kellyanne and her "alternate facts", its completely fake, as proven out by the White House's own video showing Wasserman Shultz, along with other Democrats, standing and applauding Owen's widow.

That's irrelevant; there's already an office to deal with that. This new office was created for the sole purpose of providing his administration additional ammunition to keep his base of voters cowering in fear; to continue his vilification of foreigners. It was the foundation of his campaign.

 

I still think that the Khan family was used to attack Trump. What's your point?

How is it hypocrisy? Are you saying Trump used the Navy Seal's widow? How so?

 

If you had any integrity, you would see the hypocrisy of complaining about people accusing trump for using the Navy Seal's widow while you accused Clinton of using Khan's dad... however you don't.
