He's pretty bad to me from everything I've seen. Hasn't proven to be reliable and how many years has he been in the league now. Not someone that will be in at the end of games in the playoffs and we've already seen that as of recent playoffs. The problem is since he can only play one side, he becomes basically caparable to the other bigs in the league. His impact isn't a championship difference maker which is my point. He can help you win some games yeah but nothing he really does is an absolute standout from a lot of the other bigs in the league. I mean the highlights are great to see but that's really all it is. What is the one thing he can really only do defense right? Well he isn't shutting down all the perimeter play that has a much greater impact on the game.
I think you're underselling his impact on the defensive end. The reasons the Clippers aren't advancing further in the playoffs are their lack of depth, their bad luck with injuries, and Griffin and Paul not delivering enough in crunch time. Is Jordan worth 30 mil a season? No. Is he a guy you want as your 2nd or even 3rd best player? No. But if you had Harden, Gordon, Williams, and some sort of replacement for Anderson already on your roster, you'd basically be set in terms of scoring. At that point, the final piece of the puzzle would be a defensive stopper and rebounder in the paint. And Jordan's one of the best in the league.
All depending on who is added with DJ as mentioned previously. But if it was just Harrell and Ryno for DJ like the previous poster proposed, that definitely is not a title team.
Don't know if posted already, this is from Morey's weibo in China: "still LOVE him (Scola) and wish him all good. Not coming to Rocekts tho."
Look I like Scola, but I rather see Dekker get the backup PF minutes then Luis. Dekker is the future and has shown in spurts what he can do. Example the game in Memphis.Right now he has hit a small rookie wall but we should stick with him for the long haul.
Scola wouldn't be here to take dekkers minutes. He'd only be here really for emergency situations and probably wouldn't even play baring injuries *knocks on wood* or rest days/blowouts
Drew Gooden can/could rebound pretty well. Not sure how old he is now, but he would be an ok insurance to have.
How is Jason Thompson looking these days? I always liked him on the Kings as a offensive rebounder/bruiser.
Nothing really interesting from China imo...aside Yabusele which is a Celtic though, not sure why he's on that list.
Dorrell Wright, Caron Butler, Kaman, Admunson, Blatche, Sims, Blair, Thompson, Haddadi Best of the waste bin?
Lance Stephenson, Jamaal Franklin, Andray Blatche, Larry Sanders, Jason Thompson, JJ Hickson, and Josh Smith all are the names that the Rockets should look at for SF/PF/C.
