FYI: While any Rockets fan could envision how A.Bogut would help with our lack of depth at the C position, his decision to not sign with us goes beyond the dough.

You can read a variety of sources which claim that Morey pushed hard for Bogut, and while that may be true, the potential addition to the roster was not fully supported.

A.Bogut has a history of being fairly disliked by players in the league, which is understandable. Our very own Brazilian wasn't here for it.

The Rockets desperately need some beef though...Clint is too thin to handle 7 games of Gasol and the list goes on...

The chemistry is great right now. We dodged a bullet imo. It's just unfortunate that we weren't able to snag Taj Gibson after pursuing him for months...he would have greatly helped us. Though, I understand not wanting to give up Pat Bev.

I guess we'll just have to outscore everyone...and hope we don't go cold from the 3 during consecutive games in a series.

What do you think it would take to get DeAndre Jordan here in the future?

Locking him and Clippers management in his home again and forcing them to tear up his contract.

There is no way to get him here. He can opt after next season(and likely will), but he'll probably command 30 mil in free agency. I don't think he brings enough to the table on both ends of the floor to warrant that kind of paycheck.

With the buyout/playoff eligible deadline now past, I'm interested to see which direction we go. Feigen seemed to indicate that we are likely to look at a young wing.....if so, I'd like to see JP Tokoto. Kinda like hitting the reset button on KJ McDaniels, but Tokoto seems to have just a little less length and athleticism but better shooting and ball handling.

I'd sign Tokoto to a 3 year deal in the mold of Taylor, and then wait to see if Casspi heals up in time. If he does, I'd cut Brown and offer a 2 year $6 million deal (or from his perspective, $6 million for the playoffs and all of next season).

I wouldn't mind trading Anderson and Trez for Jordan even if its a one year rental because we'd win the championship with him. But you're right he's too one dimensional to warrant 30 mil a year but maybe he'd give us a true hometown discount

I believe he would also be eligible for a ring if they win.

If he really only cost Anderson and Harrell and the Rockets found a replacement for the former, then they would be a top contender in the league. DeAndre would solve a lot of their defensive and rebounding issues. And the pick-and-roll with him and Harden would be deadly.

Would the Clippers blow up their roster and make a deal like that if they flame out in the first round? That remains to be seen.

It kind of worries me how he almost bolted to Dallas for a "bigger role"

I'm not. Wasn't he having issues with Chris Paul? Dallas had a weaker roster at the time, but Dirk is one of the most ego-less (fading)superstars you'll ever see in the NBA. Jordan would've had the Mavs roster built around him. Which BTW wouldn't have been a great idea, but Cuban and Dirk would've been more than willing to cater to him to that degree.

I do hope that if he ever did wind up here, he'd be willing to accept a minimal role on offense and that it wouldn't be a repeat of Dwight Howard. He'd be unbelievable in the capacity that Capela is currently being used.

Deandre jordon's impact is not enough to be a championship difference maker. Especially when he can only play one side of the ball. People love the bigger names but in reality overall impact isn't a game changer and is comparable to many of the other bigs. If you're saying a star is coming with him then yeah I would agree with you. Him alone no way. Not for a guy you can't even have in the game at the end

Why was Morey not already following him?

You can have DeAndre in the game at the end. He's still a bad foul shooter, but not as dreadful as he once was. And I don't see why him only playing one side of the ball is a problem. Scoring(aside from finishing around the basket) is the last thing we need from the center position.

Not sure. Scola is not very active on Twitter. He likely didnt have a twitter account thr last time he played for the Rockets. Its likely nothing, but he did just start following him last night.
