Surprised we learned how to rebound properly and DJ being labeled by some as the best center in the NBA is just beyond ludicrous. Awesome how Beverley battles and gets the most rebounds out of everyone on any given night. Also great to see when one of our 6th men is off, the other can go to work. Just an amazing luxury to have, like the Clippers with Reddick and Crawford. 20 threes again, amazing! Still hope we will do more than just shoot threes come play-off time.

 

It proves grabbing more rebounds can win the match. It is so easy.

 

Rebounds? LOL the main difference is the 3 pt shooting FG not the rebounding. We've had so many games where we blew out the opponent despite being out rebounded, but we've never had a blow out where we outrebounded the opponent but shot miserably from the 3.

Pacers Game 3 pt: 22.2%
Clippers Game 3 pt: 38.5%

I'll do the math for you, the Rockets took 52 threes this game which is 156 possible points. They shot 38.5% tonight which converts to around 60 pts. If they shot 22.2% like last game they would only have 35 pts. So take Rox score of 122, subtract 60 which is their 3 pt output tonight, add 35 which would have been their 3 pt output if they shot like crap and you have 97. Clippers scored 103 which meant if we shot just like we did in Pacers game we would have lost rebounding advantage or not. Of course this is a simplified version, more rebs = more possessions but regardless you see the stark difference between shooting 22% vs 38.5%.This is why a big man should not be the priority, with the amount of 3s Houston takes an SF who is an upgrade over 3Za should be the number 1 priority.

I have one big issue after the ASG, and that's Harrell falling out of the rotation. I guess he took the C rumors really hard, even if with him not being included in trades he felt left out of the rotation and has been in the doghouse ever since. It's crazy I have no idea why he's suddenly in the doghouse not even getting PT in a blow out.

 

Great to see us back with a win. If we win a few big games, without making many 3 pointers, then it will be a turning point for us.

 

I would love to see Harrell banging in the post and on defense, despite his average at best rebounding percentages.

i was watching harden's post game interview and on his locker it had the name "el chapo 13" anyone know where he got the nickname from? i'm guessing it's not because he's in the mexican cartel

 

No doubt the whole team does.

But I'm just trying to debunk that he hasn't had good playoff series with houston and okc.

I mean iv seen Lebron win MVP regular season and average 17ppg in the finals.

It happens.

But your right this is Hardens time he's 27 in his prime and needs to be the best player every series for us to win a championship.

And I think he will

 

When their shots are falling they are unbeatable. Last night they were locked and loaded for 3 quarters . In the 4th we went on cruise control. But what I loved the most was how fired up Coach MDA was after that no call on Williams three point attempt.

He doesn't rebound or shoot threes. He's not in the dog house, hes just not a good match up some nights. Why have him out the if he's not shooting threes? So he can not box out? Why have him out there when Beverly is gonna give you the same, and grab some rebounds, plus 3pt shooting. I know Bev is a guard but this is the sacrifice of small ball, the three guard line up.

 

Can watch this blowout a hundred times..

 

Why ask why? It speaks for itself, James Harden is a bad man lol

 

After reviewing the game, I find out Harden is too slow on the court. Most of time he just stand there passing without any penetration or running. Obviously Bev is doing much better on this. Harden's lazy pass has no threat at all.
