Have we lost a game wearing the black unis this year? I can't think of one where we did. Have had 2 great showings on national TV wearing them(@GS, @LAC). I wouldn't be opposed to wearing these way more often than the regular road reds.
Everyone knows they're our best. That's why Gordon wore it for the 3-point competition. They should be our permanent away jersey.
I was telling my gf this today over the phone. I can't remember a black uni loss. She liked them too and she noticed something I hadn't. The black unis have checker patterns on the sides just like the grey ones, but it's flat black/glossy black in the pattern. I don't like the checkers on the grey uni, but if they mimicked the black on black checkers by being flat grey / glossy grey that would improve them for me. Nuance adds value.
Liked for you knowing, not for that loss. That was a tough loss to take. It was like hosting a Westbrook night in the Yota.
Black unis are definitely better than the grey ones with that ugly checkered pattern and sleeves. Still like the ketchup and mustard best though.
Everything about those black jerseys is nice. The cut, the trim, the black-on-gray checkered pattern down the side.....even the font. That needs to be our jersey style moving forward. My guess would be that sales reflect what we all think, and that the black jerseys are probably the best selling Rockets jersey this season.
Black unis need to be expanded to our whole wardrobe. @Von Rafer had the idea to make a white version and a red version with yellow... basically throwback colors but on these new unis.
Black for black's sake....so edgy and so cool! I bet there are even Packers fans and Cowboy fans and other classic team young fans that all want black uniforms too...pfft.. Red and Yellow.
"Rocket Red and Desert Gold" IIRC were the actual color names for our original and true Houston Rockets colors. Could be wrong.
