Maybe Sanders didn't actually look that good in private workouts. There's not much news on anyone picking him up. Or maybe he doesn't want to play for Houston. Maybe MDA doesn't like him. Who knows, could be lots of reasons. Or maybe he'll sign here tomorrow.
There seems to not be that much news on us possibly picking Sanders up Rockets should sign him to $300,000 contract don't let him go somewhere else and make you look ridiculous
Stupidity... FOR THE MOST PART rebounding really stems from boxing out your man and going for the ball after you have DEFENDED the jumpshot attempt. That clearly has not changed in basketball. WTF is Feigen talking about it's a lack of defensive breakdown. We were 7th in defense in the month of February. Stupid crap like this ticks me off!
Also completely glosses over Sanders defensive instincts and the fact that it was already announced we were looking for a big... Thankfully he isn't GM. Morey is going to Sloan this weekend though...
I think he's referring to the perimeter defender not being able to keep the ball handler in front of him. Once the dribbler gets pat his defender and attacks the rim, our only rebounder has to contest the shot, leaving his man in prime position for an offensive rebound. Another reason our big man is out of rebounding position is the fact that we switch so much. If our center is guarding the perimeter, then there is a mismatch down low for the rebound.
Possibly, after they struck out on Bogut. Would be to our detriment to lose him to Boston only to get bounced by LeBron anyway
Does it tick anyone else off that the Rockets front office and coaching staff seem to be oblivious to the fact that our rebounding and defensive issues stem from the lack of a true center? Capella has grown into a nice offensive center but his defense and rebounding has regressed. He doesn't play with that same tenacity in the paint. Nene just doesn't have the ability to consistently defend and muscle with the big guys anymore. However he is a good veteran presence and can definitely play a few serviceable minutes nightly. Montrezl is not a center. Plain and simple. He is power forward that can't shoot, and that can't exist in MDAs system. They SERIOUSLY need to quit trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
In fairness, how does Capella and Harrell get better without throwing them in the fire. We have a 3 year window with this squad. Capella development this year is important for the next 2 years. JB dropped the ball last year and should've played Capella as much as possible
Morey can still call him, but if they are to contact him in Los Angeles, i'm sure the Rockets sent representatives to check him out and will later notify Morey of what they find out.
