How could this data be accurate when LEOs do not inquire about status?

Here's the conservative CATO think tank taking up that issue in 2015:

Most of them are either prosecuted or deported bottomline.

To most intelligent people it's obvious he's manufacturing issues.

care to back up your claim about most? i think you're wrong and you didn't address civil or small claims court enforcement.

also if you are willing to use "most" then wouldn't most folks be fine under trumps voice program? it's really only a few bad hombres, most will be fine.

    -edit-
Here is a bad hombre. He's not "most" by any means but maybe voice would have prevented this.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ncisco-controversial-sanctuary-city-laws.html

Again this bad hombre would have been dealt with and prevented from murder but "most" everyone else would be fine.

An overlooked part of this story... They couldn't sue the sanctuary city (SF) (for not contacting ICE about the 5 time deported murderer) but the family was allowed to sue Bureua of Land Mgmt because the murder stole the murder weapon from a BLM truck. What a joke.

This is somewhat off-topic, so I apologize in advance.

B-Bob, don't take this the wrong way, but I honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. If it is sarcasm, that's fine. I'm fallible. I try to be pragmatic, but I'm obviously biased to one side. I actually do think Obama did some good things and had good intentions, even if I disagreed with him a fair amount. He and his family served the country with a lot of poise, which I greatly respect. A lot of what I put on the D&D are my strongest reactions and/or emotional ones, so they don't necessarily represent my entire views. As I've said before, I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary in the general election. I think that has provided a greater level of distance than I had under Obama. I can step back and look at the big picture instead of looking at everything from a microscopic perspective. At least, I'm trying. And I'm trying to be less cynical about all of it. Joint sessions/SOTUs are one of my favorite political rituals that we have in this country. It doesn't matter who the president is; I love sitting down and hearing what the current president has to say. If you disagree, you can point to specific issues. But there's always something that unites us all, and I think it's important to try to find that.

How many though ipaman? You're talking like them receiving the full extent of the law isn't the norm. So since you're making it seem like illegal immigrants can get away with criminal activity, exactly how many are getting away with ipaman? My experience has been most do receive the full extent of the law when it's broken, including my experience serving jury duty in Austin, a sanctuary city no less.

He hasn't backed down on vilifying immigrants at all.

Good to see most people are progressively becoming desensitized to it, while the rest outright support the divisiveness.

    FIFY

And why don't you want criminals vilified? Do you want them glorified?

Enough to do something about it but not enough so most legal immigrants will be perfectly fine.

I thought you said many aren't receiving the full extent of the law. I thought you had some facts to support your claim. I guess you don't. Also our law enforcement have been dealing with criminally active illegal immigrants for years and I can attest to them dealing with one in Austin during jury duty. You act like most don't get punished for breaking the law. You act like law enforcement have been lax on their job and that they're only now dealing with criminally active illegal immigrants because Trump made it an issue. That is not the case at all.

sanctuary cities have made it difficult for various law enforcement agencies and lawyers to do their jobs on behalf of victims. you can't deny that. nevermind that sanctuary cities are abiding criminals both good and bad. should be renamed aiding and abetting cities.

keep in mind i'm not white, i'm a 1st generation american, my mom was a green card holder turned citizen, my grandmother is still a green card holder, and i've got family in mexico still. legal is legal and illegal is illegal. those who went the legal route should not be punished or marginalized. no shortcuts. many in my family feel exactly the way I do.

Not sure yet because the details of the program are not out. I do think the crime list helps to bring awareness like other crime lists.

I think of a real example I used to do. Way back in the day i was a network administrator and instead of blocking websites i just published users, ips, and top sites visited in the breakroom. Amazing job of folks policing themselves because of that list. I never had issues. Maybe this list could be a deterrent.

You know, thanks for the sincere reply. And I was being sarcastic, and in your case, you didn't deserve that. Bad day here, and a good reason for me to stay off the BBS for a while. Good on you for trying to be less cynical. And for the record, I was glad to hear some nods to unity in the address last night, even while I still have my worries about policies and appointments, and all that. Cheers.

The liberals are beside themselves after Trump got such positive reviews from last night's speech.

Not this liberal, texxx. I didn't really mind the speech at all.

I'm having a bad day for myriad reasons almost unrelated to Trump. I say almost, b/c his bellicose tone with China is bad for my employer's business model, and it is costing a few jobs. Not mine, but all the not-especially-liberal tears on my shoulder are getting a bit sad. We don't all grow colder and meaner as we get older, you see.

The problem I have with the list is that it will create a narrative for those that are ready to pounce on the narrative. I don't understand why we have a crime list for illegal immigrants but not regular citizens.
