Well, at the very least he'll miss some games. Hopefully during those games we take advantage and lessen the gap. Being down 5 games looks a lot more nice than being down 8 games.

    From ESPN:

'Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant underwent an MRI after suffering a hyperextended left knee in the first quarter of Tuesday night's 112-108 loss to the Washington Wizards. Results of the MRI won't be revealed until Wednesday.'

Sounds bad, especially with the buzz in the locker room - looks like KD may miss significant time. I hope KD recovers soon, but wow this could really open up the door for the rox...there's been a lot of contender vs. pretenders talk about our team. I want to believe we can be contenders!

So does anyone remember how long it took to release Curry MRI results in the playoffs? Same day or day after? That one should have been much quicker, as it was at home and a day game.

I think he's out for season or for two weeks as a precaution.

I love KD as a player but would be lying if I said I wouldn't be happy if he was out for the year. I never wish an injury upon anybody but just want to win

Dang. They should've released the results today!

Looks like they're planning on him missing some time... if people didn't like the Warriors before, now Matt Barnes lol...

hyper-extended knee - anyone familiar with that injury? best case scenario how many games would he be out?

ROX won't even pass up the Spurs playing like they did against the Pacers

The range is pretty wide, but the best case scenario would be a grade 1 MCL sprain him missing only a couple games.

I think the worst outcome for Durant would be the Warriors winning the championship without him this year. That would be so weird.

With the knee-jerk (no pun) signing of Matt Barnes, I gotta think Durant is out at least a few weeks.

Matt Barnes and Draymond Green on the same team. Only way it would've been worse is if Bogut had gone back there. Draymond, Bogut, and Barnes... *shudder*

Just because someone gets injured we don't have to feel bad as some posters are making it seem. We have the right to cheer because it opens up a door for our team. I'm not saying Durant is a bad person and he deserved this but what's done is done, we can't change the past so now it's time to capitalize. Hell this still doesn't even level the playing field but we'll take what we can get. Btw this couldn't have come at a better time with Curry in a bad slump. And I don't want to hear about how it's not classy to cheer about a player getting injured because (#1) I'm not, I'm cheering at the opportunity it opens up, and (#2) Lord knows they're fans wouldn't give a flying **** if Harden, Leonard, or Lebron went down; dancing in the streets rather. GS fans are the least classy in the league and they're players are dead last in sportsmanship.

Rationalize it however you want, it's still not okay to cheer about a player getting injured, It's classless and if you believe it's not your just a big POS imo.

    Woj. bomb!

Sources: Warriors, Kevin Durant's inner-circle bracing for tough news on KD's knee, awaiting MRI result. Fear is he's out months, not weeks.
