Sullinger just doesn't "blow my skirt up" (Charlton Heston, "True Lies"). For some reason I can't get out of my head the image of Sullinger at the NBA Draft Combine, huffing and wheezing his way to each finish line in the (lack of) agility drills.

Sanders has been away from the game for too long. Reports on him are mixed at best, but you never know who might leak false information to tamp down a rival team's interest.

Codman mentioned the name and I'm inclined to agree (even if he was being 37.62% facetious). J-Smoove might be a pretty decent option. I don't know if he's still in China or what, but he can pass and play D. Just get him out of the game when the other team is ready to go Hack-a-Smoove.

We can create 3 roster spots. Lets grab Sullinger, Sanders and Smoove to 2 year deals, with second year team options. Make them earn it!

PnR numbers on Sullinger are very un-inspiring especially seeing what the big rotation in Boston is doing this year with him gone.

He's more of a pick and pop guy with 3 pt range. Sullinger is also a very good rebounder and a physical presence. Something the team is currently missing, think a younger Nene.

With that said I like Blatche a lot more and before I make a call on Sullinger tell me what kind of shape he's in. Fact is there's not a perfect fit that you can pickup this time or yr.

Sullinger's total rebounding percentages from last year are virtually a wash with Scola, with Scola being a superior defensive rebounder.

Would prefer Scola head to head.

Short-term, I'd prefer Scola as well. Sullinger hasn't been able to stay on the floor this season, and when he has he's been bad. Scola would provide energy and a veteran presence, and I just think he makes more sense for the postseason than Sullinger. That being said, I think Sullinger would provide some good long-term value if he could get minutes and develop a rapport with the team over this last stretch of the season.

Appreciate @Codman's posts about the trade deadline. No surprise on Taj. He would have been a great fit. (and could still with the MLE next summer). I am glad the Rockets didn't give up Bev or Ariza. Not that I feel they are untouchable by any means, but if I am going to move them, it is going to be for a large return, not just a rotational player. The Brewer+1st for LouWill was a great move.

Sounds legit. Sucks that we missed out Taj, he would have been PERFECT for this team.

You must be using the term "feeds" referring to defensive intensity or defensive understanding and communication. Because Trevor is a horrible passer and cannot do anything with the basketball besides shoot it or throw it back out to James when he catches and can't get a clean look.

Tunnel-vision. Any of Trevor's past coaches would vehemently disagree with your assessment of his game.

Tunnel-vision describes Ariza's passing game perfectly.

Make no mistake about it: Sully at 100% is probably the best big man currently available. He can score and rebound the hell out of the ball.

The problems, of course, are injuries/conditioning along with his well-documented defensive shortcomings. Defensively, it would be like having another Ryan Anderson out there. Slow, struggles against PnR and switches, below average athleticism, etc.

I would take him....but he doesn't fit. Bogut and healthy/conditioned Sanders are the much better fits. Unfortunately, neither of those two seem likely to end up signing with us so we might have to settle for a Sully or Scola.

Right...ask Kobe who he could trust in crunch time with the passing (same with Shaq), among other players.

But, Ricky Rubio is sure remarkable, huh?

What I like here is he has a tendacy to lure players into postup possessions. And he's a good Hayes style post up defender. Although inconsistent, I'd take a flyer on him as a 5 in our system. Plus rebounder. Underrated paint defender when motivated. Would be the best rebounder on our current roster. Multiple offensive skills.

You should just be happy Rubio wasn't traded for the scraps that are left of D. Rose to get further exposed in NY.
