Did anyone notice Andrew Bogut has 27% FT%? It's pretty comical. Any average Joe can hit way better than that after a month of training, and this guy has been playing professionally for how many years? Pure laziness.
Andrew Bogut negotiating 76ers release, wants to join Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers have emerged as the favorite to sign veteran center Andrew Bogut provided he can negotiate his release from the Philadelphia 76ers by Wednesday, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN on Sunday that Bogut's agent, David Bauman, and the Sixers remain in active buyout negotiations. The Australian big man is hoping to be waived by Wednesday, which is the last day this season players can be released and remain playoff-eligible with their next team. Various ailments limited Bogut to 26 games with the Mavs. A bone bruise in his knee and a hamstring strain, in particular, caused Bogut to miss extended stretches. If Bogut chooses the Cavaliers as expected, he would be spurning a more lucrative offer from the Rockets, who created an extra $3.5 million in spending money through two deadline-day trades Thursday to aid their search for additional depth via the buyout market.
It was allways going to go in this direction hence I am not surprised or dissapointed. He wanted a guaranteed finals birth and with the Cavs the chances are he will get that.
"The weather.....the no-state-taxes....the championships we won more than twenty years ago...." "Shut up, Daryl. Please." "....shutting up."
Here's hoping Rockets take a long look at Larry Sanders, then. He's who I wanted, anyway. Bigger risk, but even with Bogut Rockets are still underdogs to Warriors, Spurs, Cavs. With Sanders, the upside is a guy who can give you close to 10/10 off the bench with a strong defensive presence. Bigger reward.
Calvin Watkins: Source said Rockets not serious about acquiring Andrew Bogut if & when he’s brought out. Wing defender or another big is what they desire
Probably just talking to him to see how family is doing, maybe his dinner plans. Right Calvin Watkins?
So all of the reports about him signing with Cleveland as soon as he was bought out were false. No need for the dog and pony show of meeting with other teams if he was already 100% decided he wanted to go to Cleveland. Deron Williams didn't make any pit stops along the way; he knew where he wanted to go and couldn't wait to commit. I mean, he may still end up with Cleveland after all is said and done, but these premature news reports with guys trying to be first piss me off. Yet another reason to wait until you here it from Woj.
It does sound a little bit like being told a girl in school is looking to go to prom with someone else and your like "Well, I didn't want her anyway"
