He has great hands and is 7 feet tall. Folks, he can score. He can get in shape and would be able to run the floor for 20 minutes. He would be a great fit here hence Morey going after him.

I understand why you wouldn't like him as a person, but as a basketball player, kind of weird how you wouldn't want him on this team now.

His father hasn't been well in recent years and his partner is pregnant. So he could be making a trip to Melbourne...

May I ask why? He hasn't been in the league in years after mysteriously walking away and got turned down after working out with a couple squads this year.

Bogut is a terrible human being but at least we've seen him as an actual NBA player in the last couple years. Plus, he's better anyway.

True but Bogut has not played well this season even when he was healthy for the Mavs. Sanders even if he has not played has something to prove I believe which will be a good gamble to take plus I don't think you will need to give most of the 3.5 mil and go out and get another player like Afallo if bought out.

    Can he stay healthy tho?

He's been injured twice in the last year and missed over 50% of games this season

Bogut simply does not participate in the PnR as a roll threat.

Sure we all saw how great his screens are for shooters, but Harden needs someone rolling to the basket to cause confusion on the drive and Bogut does not do that. The numbers bear this out, he was bottom 25% in the league in PPP as a roll man on the best team in regular season history.

Sanders on the other hand was developing an effective roll game before taking the time off.

Sanders was also lowering opponents FG% at the rim at a superior rate to prime Dwight.

Sanders freaking pulled a Royce White though, would you want to sign him again if he wanted another shot? Morey isn't considering him anyway or else we would have worked him out already so no point in even discussing.

Bogut is a question mark and a risk as well. He's awful but if he could give us 50% of what he gave the Warriors last season he'd fill a huge need and vastly improve our defense and rebounding.

I haven't seen the sanders workouts and neither has anyone here so we aren't really equipped to comment on him.

I'll take either one or another big that can rebound... wolves got 30 more rebounds yep heck i'd take tarik black at this stage..I do have a concern hearing Sanders didn't do all that great at the celtics evaluation of him

Sanders may not have previously been on the radar, but if Bogut signs with Cleveland do we just give up?

Need a backup plan at the minimum..

See my post above, no more Royce Whites please. Bogut is vastly superior to anything we have in interior defense and rebounding, our two weakest areas as a team. He fills a clear need which is why we're going after him.

Just google it, the dude was literally arrested last year, I can't understand why anyone would give this bum a chance lol. The Cavs worked him out and obviously didn't like what they saw.

Good point, if he doesn't sign with us I'm not sure where we'll look. Probably not Sanders though.

I'm not advocating for sanders. I don't have much confidence in any player who sits out two years. I'm saying that people hyping him up should chill out. Whatever he was two years ago it's a virtual lock he won't give you that this season, even if he gets back there someday. What can he give you? I have no idea because I haven't seen him workout. If he was looking like a good pick and roll player that was better than prime Dwight at impacting shots at the rim I think someone would sign him.

We don't need him to be that right away. We need him to be an improvement over what we are getting now in specific situations and to be healthy.

    Bogut can't stay healthy.

Sanders has the 20th best standing reach to ever come through the NBA. You can't teach that and you don't just lose that.

We need him for 5-10 minutes every couple of games. He has been training for a couple of months already, he should be able to step into this limited role and give us an improvement upon what we currently have.

Thanks for announcing that you have zero objectivity in this situation. Your responses in this thread will no longer be credible:)

Does it say nothing at all that he's worked out and no one has made an offer?

No, because every team that has been linked to him is also rumored to be in the hunt for Bogut.

Those teams also don't have 3 other centers that can play in most other scenarios.

We need him for a minimum application for which he is perfectly suited.
