I'd rather have Sanders if he plays defense like he did a couple of years ago. Bogut is a injury waiting to happen and has declined slightly this year.

He's not going to even be an elite prep school quality player. Trust me, Larry Sanders ran out of money is looking to cash in via a sucker willing to pay him. He's garbage. Comparing Bogut to Sanders is BS... utterly Bogut locked down that championship GSW squad defensively in the post and set the tone for the rest of the game making the opponent think twice about scoring in the paint. Bogut is at least on Bill Lambeer's level in terms of greatness.. Larry Sanders hasn't played so long is utter trash either way.

Heck former Rocket and Aussie teammate of Bogut, David Andersen > Lander Sanders.

Brian geltzier on NBA radio just said there's no truth to bogut joining the Cavs.

Deron Williams to the Cavs is a done deal tho.

Im hearing his workout with the Cavs was not good.

He didn't have the explosion or lift and was extreamly skinny.

He can't help any team right now.

The guy is just trying to cash a check.

If the Cavs and Celtics don't want him, neither do the rockets.

Larry Sanders as a better rim protector than Bogut then...

Did he get shorter? Did his arms shrink?

Have you been attending his workouts to verify any of this reckless speculation?

    No:rolleyes:

Man. You really dig Larry Sanders. If I might ask, where does this Sanders love come from? No judgment or anything, but I just don't know why we should put so much faith in a guy who had like 1-2 decent years, totally flaked on the NBA and hasn't played in an NBA game in two years.

Bogut would be a smoother road to playing in June. The guy rebounds 3x more than shooting and we are pretty much set on who is doing the scoring points. If we get Bogut, the Spurs, especially the Warriors would keep looking at the rearview mirror. Lou>Bogut

What is that suppose to mean? Lou Williams is already a Rocket idiot. The Rox need an elite center by today's standards and Bogut is just about the best available if Morey can convince him and set up a deal somehow.

His advanced metrics are amazing and you can teach tall (9'4" standing reach).

He's also 4 years younger than Bogut and hasn't been injury plagued in the last 6 months

What advanced metrics, though? In terms of PER, WS, TRB%, BPM and VORP, the guy had one really good season (12-13), and that was four years ago. Otherwise, he was pretty much a below average player in terms of those statistics who could never stay healthy.

Sometimes when a player has a good season in a sea of mediocrity, that's not the norm moving forward, it's the outlier. And I think we've seen enough of Sanders at this point to kinda make that determination.

If both were available, I'd take Lou over Bogut. Since we aren't likely to get Bogut, I'm still going gaga that we got Lou instead of Bogut.

Alrite I apologize for the earlier comment. Lou Williams is stellar so far indeed. The Rockets need one more solid big with a high b-ball IQ in the post come Post Season.

If what you say is true, it will be the opposite effect. Sanders will be hungry and will do whatever coach ask. Boguts hate for this city apparently is not worth picking him up! Will he even try? Until he publicly retracts what he said and acknowledges he wants to play here because he thinks we can win it all.

    I DO NOT WANT, PERIOD!
