He never outright banned them, but the Obama administration froze out Fox News to the point that the entire press pool had to stand up to them and tell them to stop.....even then they continued doing similar things, just never so openly that they got called on it again. Basically what Trump is doing is no different....and it is being done for the same exact reason that was given back then.
Yeap. sometime you wonder if THE MEDIA realize how much they are being played. Or that they know, but they can't help themselves.
Classic dictator behavior. Trump supporters are too stupid to recognize it nor do they understand or care about the inevitable consequences. It's truly the age of America Idiocracy.
Basically we can conclude that those "frozen out" (CNN, BBC, The New York Times, LA Times, New York Daily News, BuzzFeed, The Hill, and the Daily Mail) are more likely to be actual watch dogs while other agencies (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, Reuters and Bloomberg) are more likely to convey what WH wants people to hear (i.e. J Feigan to the Rockets). I'll trust the former to be more critical while still enjoy the "access" that the latter will give.
This is what the Chinese Communists do. They are afraid of media and internet. Trust me: I lived there and can read/listen to the Chinese news.
Total Fake News today. Obama met with liberal-leaning outlets privately. Here's a story describing it from the liberal NY Times! https://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/04/...-the-record-briefings.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0 PWN3D!
Wrong again, brosef. It says that Obama's secret sessions were dominated by liberal leaning columnists. drops mic...
Lol, he didn't read the article, especially the part towards the end about meetings with new media and conservative journalists. And besides, these were unscheduled meetings with the President, not what happened with Spicer.
You mean fake news like this? Fox News just invited a fake "Swedish Defense and National Security Advisor" to help drum up support for Trump's statement about Sweden. http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/...unknown-swedish-security-advisor-crime-debate
It really exemplifies the cultish behavior of individuals like ipaman and rocketlegend to completely ignore something like this and ramble on about the NYT and CNN as fake news. http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...Bildt+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=se&client=safari ^^ That is the former 'company page' of Niles Bilt. He quickly deleted it after inquisitive minds with IQs over 100 decided to investigate him after his Fox 'news' appearance. That's his 'about company' page. Read it and LOL. This is how I assume freshmen political science majors write when they have to reach a target word count and fall short 400 words. Fill it with redundant fluff. The fact that an entity like Fox News would put a man like this on air and label him an 'expert' speaks volumes about the level of professionalism Fox News posses. Seriously ask yourself ipaman and Rocketslegend if CNN or NYT would bring a joke like this on to their network and label him an expert? The scariest thing about this situation? Our ****ing president values this clown's quasi 'intelligent briefing' from ****ing cable news over our own intelligence analysts
He dropped the mic like a coward. He never tries to defend Trump directly, because 45 is not defensible in any logical realm. Texxx, it's alarming to see, just distorts and pivots and keeps talking Obama/Clinton, bringing up tiny old oranges to compare to whopping new apples in front of us. Really shameful. We always knew he was a shill, but to align himself with the farthest right, and the Russian posters... it's mind-boggling. Or, as another poster used to say: telling. Trump is losing his war with the media though, and preaching to an ever-smaller core group of his adherents. Congrats to him on further dividing our country into groups. That's such a nice thing to do, right? What a sweet Cheeto.
Whine, whine, whine from the deepest liberal echo chamber in America - the Bay Area of California. Obama had private meetings with primarily liberal leaning columnists. So did Trump. Next. I don't defend Trump blindly - I don't like his immigration and trade policies, among other things.
