Trump is the enemy of the American people.

I hope he gets relieved of his job duties, somehow, some way, and soon.

Bannon has put together a brilliant strategy. This media is the enemy thing really unites a lot of Trump supporters and it neuters his critics before they ever speak. He has a lot of people convinced that the media, the CIA, the FBI, the state department, Congress, etc. are all part of a conspiracy against Trump. It makes it impossible to attack. You can't use any sources against Trump because they are already biased.

MSM journalists collaborated with the Clinton campaign during the election. Either admit this is wrong or you will never have an ounce of credibility on this board.

    Stupid people gonna believe stupid.

What you've described sounds like one of the many evil dictators rising to the ranks throughout history.

I hate to be one of those people...

FoxNews reported on this and said that there wasn't room for all the media outlets that requested access to the gaggle.

It was a record breaking gaggle. The line was 6 blocks of reporters trying to speak with Dear Leader.

I hope the only thing anyone reports is that he barred the media. I don't care what Spicer has to say.

Kudos to AP and Time Magazine for showing journalistic integrity, heck, basic integrity to not attend the "gaggle." I guess it would have been too much for Fox News to also show integrity, but doing so would be seen as not carrying the water for Trump. I remember Fox claiming to be excluded from certain Obama administration interviews and that the other news organizations stood up for them. Guess they didn't think it important to do the same. Figures.

Like I said, CNN, NYT, LAT and Politico weren't excluded, there just wasn't enough room. There were SO MANY news outlets that wanted to be there, they couldn't accommodate all of them. You liberals would be complaining if he let CNN in and didn't let Fish & Wildlife or Car & Driver. What, was he supposed to tell Teen Vogue that there wasn't enough room? There was no targeting of CNN, NYT, LAT and Politico (failed organizations by the way.) Sad.

My sarcasm meter had a slight hiccup, but it is now running at optimal performance. Believe me, I have the best sarcasm meter EVER!

Selectively barring media is extremely concerning.

Don't forget that journalists can be the most self-congratulatory professional bloc in the country and can't help themselves when their industry is at the center of the story (especially when that story happens to kick off just as the press begins reporting on the Chief of Staff's attempts to downplay the administration's Russian connections at the FBI). The White House created a story today that journalists cannot wait to breathlessly cover at the expense of all other news. The subset of the population who believes the media to be horrible and self-serving (while believing outlets like Breitbart to be selfless champions of the truth) will see NYT (and other outlets barred today that have previously broken news on his Russian ties) editorials decrying this action and cheer it on further, perpetuating the divide in how Americans perceive reality itself.

Note: I do not like today's move. Richard Nixon's ghost thinks it's a bit ballsy.

No, you are absolutely right. Like I said, they are brilliant with the media manipulation. They've done this in the past as well. Create a story they know the media can't help themselves on and then let something that actually matters even more slide through unchallenged.

There are bigger issues right now like the House bill regarding the public education system that will get very little coverage now.

You've become such a predictable joke in this forum. With all respect due.

Fox News had journalists collaborating with the Trump campaign. As soon as the president of Fox News got fired for being a pig he immediately found gainful employment as an advisor to Trump. Trump would use "private' conversations with Sean Hannity as his defense to repudiate his own public comments. The Hannity show itself doesn't even PRETEND to be anything more than a television show built to help conservatives.

The other night Tucker Carlson cut off a major/general whatever who started to point out what Trump said that was incorrect. (He was on the panel to support Trump, which he did, but got cut off when he started to play devil's advocate.)

Not surprising. This WH will keep pushing the edge. Supporter of Trump continue to play with fire.

What is the value of these daily press briefing? Maybe just forget them and go do some interesting investigation and story at the hill and elsewhere.

The admin has already talked about killing the daily press briefing. Won't surprise me if that happens at some point when they really want to stir the pot.
