We are also about to see how much other rival Western Conference teams and their fans are cursing Magic Johnson as GM

Going 4 vs 5 on offense and braindead play (sorry Brew) to an elite gunning legit 20 point scorer in lou is a massive upgrade

Prior to ASB from corner 3:

    Lou: 53%
    Brew: 23%

That's how much better, 125% better

Frankly I'm shocked more media isn't jumping on how good this deal was for Houston. I guess everyone is too busy writing their Lakers pieces now that there is some positive news coming out of Lakerland. It was a decent deal for LA too - stockpile an asset, and get a guy who puts his team at a disadvantage every time he steps on the court - tank hard! For Houston though, this helps us in so many ways including:
    - giving Brewer's time to someone waaayyyy more productive.
    - giving Houston another PnR ballhandler/scorer/shot creator
    - allowing Houston to rest Harden a bit more because someone else is on the roster who can "drive the car" more often.
    - Giving Houston 48 minutes of high octane D'Antoni ball - potentially crushing other team's 2nd units

...remember that's how GS just won 73 games by having a high octane starting unit, a bench that could increase the lead, and the flexibility to rest their sometimes fragile players more with even minute distribution. It also allows your bench guys to get more "in game" practice because your playing with a big lead - that could mean added development of guys like Dekker and Harrell. Assuming Lou isn't some sort of locker cancer(and reports suggest he is not), then this is a HUGE deal for Houston that makes us a much more dangerous team in the playoffs. I'm excited!
