Don't really care if we get him or not....but the spurs CAN'T get him. Hoping the cavs get him, frankly. That affects us like not at all.
Maybe Morey should look elsewhere. Dude sounds like a drama queen. An entire week off? When teams need to cut these players within 5 days in order for them to be eligible for playoff rosters?
The Rox threw a lotta love at Sweet Lou, Capella looks really good takin them lobs, Sweet Lou is gonna want get him some of that assist action. We bringing threes down like Cold Steel Rain. I am PUMPED.
i think with the Bogut situation personal issues means he is selling his house and moving out of Dallas to his new city where he plans to be now and when he is a free agent come July
His reasons for choosing to be traded to Dallas over Houston included the coaching. He specifically mentioned he did not like the idea of playing in D'Antoni's up-and-down system. Bogut cited that he would have to lose 20 lbs to even think about playing in it. For a guy that has seemingly mailed it in for the season, i doubt he is looking for the grind in order to compete. More likely, he is looking for the best competitor with the least required amount of adjustment on his part. Not the competitor with the most money.
He was great for the Warriors, the team we are trying to be. If he's healthy he'd be huge. Warriors should be signing this guy asap, would make them that much better.
He hasn't been efficient as a roller in the PnR since 2013. His use is exclusively for screening and not a threat to score.
I think there are a slew of reasons why he isn't a good fit here. But this sounds about right. He can't catch Harden's lobs and finish at the cup on pick and rolls and he can't knock down the 15 footer from the top of the key on pick and pops like Nene. Short of running the floor (something that usually put him on the bench in GS in favor of Green) he doesn't fit our system at all. If we're looking for rebounding and rim protectors we need to find someone more in the Taj Gibson/Tristan Thompson mold than a giant stiff like Bogut. Hell, I'd take Asik back over Bogut.
He would make the dubs better as he's already proven in that system. But don't forget the reports that suggested Bogut was sent away with a poor taste in his mouth. Maybe that was a heat of the moment thing, and he's over it now. As far as system integration here due to his experience with the Warriors, it's a bit different here. Although both teams play for the same shots (threes, frees, ease), the Rockets look to run and shoot early whereas the Warriors are more about ball movement to find their shot. Bogut has an issue with the pace of D'Antoni's system. He wants to set picks in half court sets. Here, there would be a lot of running back on offense only to see a shot in mid air when he gets there. Then he has to run back on D.
the wolves grabbed practically 30 more rebounds tonight..would Bogut make a difference in games like tonight? I think so
True but any big that can just rebound in paint traffic and play D will do. I am liking Larry Sanders more over Bogut.
