Yah I hate Barnes and bogut but I'd love having them off the bench to make other fans hate them instead lol
I dislike Barnes on an opposing team but, the Rockets could use an "enforcer " coming off the bench. He would be an asset when matching up with GSM, Memphis, Cleveland etc. He would help keep them honest!
Matt Barnes is not coming to Houston. James Harden is our assistant GM. Barnes ruined it for himself when he talked bad to Harden mom.
Splitter is injured, but to resign in the offseason, I think that would be good. He just wouldn't serve a purpose this year, and our window is now.
Splitter is done guys...that's why Bud just traded him. Last time i saw him play he was so slow and soft, and i can't even remember when i saw him play last time...
2 more suggestions (sorry if already in this thread - I've only read the last couple of pages): Roy Hibbert Arron Afflalo @BimaThug said on the podcast (if I'm not mistaken) that once a waived player clears waivers, any new contract he signs will reduce team salary obligations to the former team. I wonder how that relates to the cap floor. Roy Hibbert makes $5M per year and was acquired by Denver supposedly just to get to that $90M cap floor. So now that most teams have done that, no one would really need Hibbert anymore right? So if Hibbert clears waivers after a buyout, Denver gets to keep Hibbert's salary for floor purposes. Then the Rockets could reduce Denver's actual payments to Hibbert with any amount he signs for Houston. I like Hibbert because he's big and at one point in time, was the only defensive big man in the Eastern Conference that was consistently able to challenge LeBron straight up at the rim. Maybe he's too slow now to be that defender, for I really haven't watched him lately,. As for Afflalo, I like his size, athleticism, and shooting. Who's going to guard Kawhi and Durant? It's going to be mainly Ariza and Dekker right? I wouldn't mind throwing Afflalo out there. I think KJ could have stayed on this team if he wasn't a 29% Three PT shooter. Afflalo is of similar size, but a 39% Three Pt shooter, and he's not a part of the Kings' future.
If the team re-signs Josh Smith I would be surprised. I think what Josh brings could do wonders for this team, but I don't know if he will come back to Houston again especially without Dwight here. But his defense and his desire to shoot the 3 and be a play maker could help the 2nd unit.
i guess would be that this will allow both nene and bogut to rest games. This will keep both of those 2 old bigs fresh for playoff time.
