OKC is the clear winner here, they add a good big man and a shooter.
    Raptors as well.
Rockets are winners too, but not that great.
New Orleans did a solid job.
    Dallas are meh.

Bulls & Kings tied for losers of the deadline.
    Celtics by standing pat.
    Pacers should've done something.

I know basketballholic will say it isn't true, but here is @Clutch quoting Morey just now saying what I've said all along:

For the record, I said I seriously doubt the Rockets TRADE for Bogut (and his $11 million cap figure). I figured that he was a prime buyout candidate and have no issue with the Rockets looking at him in that market. He'd certainly help the team's interior defense.

Sorry Morey, but you are insane if you like our bigs rotation. Sure they are decent players, but we need some rebounding and a proper big in the play-offs. Let's hope Nene comes through. Also, Dekker as a our sole SF back-up is scary, but let's hope he keeps improving. We've pretty much given up on contending though. Morey's eye is set on next year.

This is just Maury being Ethical. Doesn't want to hurt Capela and Nene's feelings.

It's really weird to make that argument when we added a player at the cost of a 1st round pick and then dealt off salary so we could try to sign a player off the waiver wire to try to contend.

There is no feeling hurt in this case.

Bogut is not an upgrade for this team under this current system.

He is a guy that can contribute in certain matchups or in certain situation and that's about it.

Harrell is being regarded as an energy guy, when the team is sucking, you put him in.

Bogut is a tree and a wall, when your team is getting destroyed on the glass and people are making layups in the paint on every procession, you put him in to stop the bleeding.

    That's about it.

Capela and Harrell are too small. They will keep getting exposed when it matters.

Its like saying Harden is bad on defense so we need an upgrade.

Sames goes for Bogut, he is a liability on offense in this system.

I am borderline shocked the Rockets couldn't or didn't want to get PJ Tucker for the cost the Raptors paid. KJ is a better option than Sullinger and we could have beaten the picks Toronto offered. Or we could have also added Wiltjer if there was any interest in him. I don't think we are getting Bogut, no matter whether we have extra money to offer or not, so I don't think things would have changed much with him. But getting Tucker would have been really good for us defensively on the wing and given us the inside track to resign Tucker, if wanted, in the off-season.

    No he isn't.

As I said, Capela is not a good finisher and he is overall still a bad defender.

But he can roll and can jump and at least he run fast - in most cases.

When you have a guy can jump high, it makes things much easier for Harden.

Capela is the type of guy perfectly for pick and roll with Harden, except the finishing part. But still, you are taking that anytime of the day.

Im not the biggest fan of Bogut, but he is definitely an upgrade... When we get beat, it's because 3's arent falling, they are scoring at will in the paint and we arent rebounding. Bogut is huge defensively, can rebound, and set a pick. I see him setting the pick, rolling, then if it gets dumped to him he is a great passer to someone cutting or out to the 3 where our newly acquired 52.6% corner 3 guy is sitting wide open.

if you don't think capela is a liability on offense then saying Bogut is, that doesn't make sense. And if you're going to point to pick and roll and not realize how well Bogut ran pick n rolls in GS then maybe you haven't seen him enough. I would hope not bc it was a very effective option for them
