Maybe you could settle for a @ch44 bomb instead. Dude is ballin' today. Called the Huertas-Ennis deal far in advance.
Because like the Lakers with Lou Williams they want to lose/tank, so players playing well or for a future payday may win them more games than they want to win.
Diaw would be a nice addition. Wouldn't really help with our toughness, but he's one of the highest BBIQ guys in the league. Decent 3PT shot, great passer, knows his ****.
Perhaps CyberX is just following the example of Bilal/ABS and making an alternate account to spread his influence
For those of us who don't understand all the legalities of the nba, if the rockets were to sign one of these folks what's the usual timeline after the deadline? Couple hours, Couple days?? Don't recall from the Smoove deal.
Replace Ennis and McDaniels with Bogut and Barnes. Two gritty defensive players. We need that toughness to wear down the Spurs and Warriors.
More fallout. Too bad we couldn't get Lakers and Nets to touch and merge these trades. Would have generated a 6.1 million tpe that could have been used to claim a player(s). As it appears now, were left with 3.54 million in cap space to sign players or a 3.4 million and approximately 900k tpe. I'm also wondering if we possibly sent cash to the Nets to get them to claim Huertas when we release him. The Ennis/Hurtas deal doesn't do a lot for us (extra 200k space) unless there is something else that we don't know about yet. If the Nets claim Huertas our cap space jumps significantly. Of course, if Bogut is our target, it would make sense that we could help them with a higher buyout with the understanding that they will claim Huertas and Bogut knowing we're going to make up for his buyout and then some. I wished we'd do this with a different player than Bogut though.
Can we sign Jimmer, and launch meteor showers of threes??? Because I don't think we're going to win a chip by out-bigging anyone with Bogut. And the thought of watching another hack-a-Rockets-center every playoff game is nauseating.
Hope so. Would be nice if someone claims him. Nets are actually still like 800k below the salary floor. A little surprised they didn't turn this into one deal.
Nothing interesting among early names. Marcus Thornton(Nets) - not coming back Terrence Jones(Pelicans) - not coming back Deron Williams(Mavs) - reportedly Jazz or Cavs(David Aldridge says Cavs) Matt Barnes(Kings) - @Deuce mentioned his dust up with Harden's mom, probably not coming here Andrew Bogut(Sixers) - probably not coming here Larry Sanders(FA) - already been out there; nothing to indicate Houston is interested
