the days of non shooting capable pg's like rondo/rubio being relevant have been long gone. mcw is quickly moving in that direction. your pg's need to a be real threat consistently if you are going to make a positive impact on a nightly and consistent basis. These guys will be non factors in the playoffs especially assuming rubio is around to see the postseason one day or even still playing. There's no such thing as hiding that weakness on the perimeter in today's league. It will be exposed one way or the other.

Yeah, for what is worth i always thought it was odd to trade for Noel having Capela...while i do agree that Noel as today is more ready and overall the better player, i also think Capela has a bit more upside than Noel, and he's also very cheap for basically two more years.

If NYK and MIN trade we should be the third team and try to scoop up Kyle O'Quinn and Shabazz Muhammad

They are not happy with Capela. They are trying to upgrade from Capela. They may even trade Capela as part of the upgrade. They are telling everybody they love Capela.

Now go ahead and believe they love Capela. I don't care. But I know they want better center play than Capela can give them.

This feels truthy. I do think the low hanging fruit to improve the lineup is the C position. Getting a guy like Bogut or Chandler would really bolster defense/rebounding without losing much on offense.

Noel would have been a nice backup to Clint. Oh well.

Look, I'm not against upgrade over Capela, but you are the lone wolf out there who claims to have a source saying this. Literally everyone else that has any connection to the Rockets claims they love Capela.

I actually HOPE you are right and that they make a big blockbuster and that Capela is part of it.

It'll be fun to watch Rocy Rubio run the triangle or whatever crap they run out there these days,

OK. The deal Bima put out is two separate trades (from our perspective). Trust us, this is legal paperwork to the league.

    This is Bima's math
    Trade 1 = Ennis+KJ for Lou Williams
Trade 2 = Brewer for $11.5m player (ie Bogut)

so, to add Covington to that our trade paperwork for salary matching would be:

Trade 1 = Ennis+KJ+Onuaku (or Wiltjer) for Lou + Covington
Trade 2 = Brewer for $11.5m player (ie Bogut)

Now, I'm not 100% we can structure the trade from our perspective that way to combine 2 incoming players from separate teams.
If not allowed (I'm asking Bima), then you have to do this

    Trade 1 = Ennis+KJ for Lou Williams
Trade 2 = Brewer for $11.5m player (ie Bogut)
Trade 3 = Harrell for Covington
    or
Trade 3 = Onuaku + Wiljer for Covington
