Not seeing it. Ariza is a better spot-up shooter and better defender. Don't see how Chandler is a better fit.
Maybe yes, maybe No You're other account got banned and I think bilaal14 is a better fit for Clutchfans
I don't even know that guy. Nor do I understand this racial "sturdy" narrative he has been spewing on clutchfans. We hold similar viewpoints when it comes to purely rockets basketball, but that guy is not me. I'm just a brown kid from acres homes who has been die hard since the day I can remember. I once got the chance to become the ball boy for the rockets, did it for a day, got offered the position, and quit because I chose to go to law school instead. That is my life story. Lol Long time observer, new poster. Good day.
They won't trade Ariza for Chandler. He's too close with Harden. Anderson. Capela. Harrell. Dekker would go before Ariza.
This dude knows it all. He hangs out with them boys at the clubs btw, I'd add Bobby Brown to the list of Harden fanboys
Daily Double. Acres Home to Grammy Winning Rapper to Venture capitalist in Silicon Valley. Who is Chamillionaire.
Right. Chandler or Gallinari are no help. Boban Marjanovic could be had for Dekker and KJ. He rebounds, blocks, scores, makes free throw, and has had a player efficiency rating in the top ten for the past two years. Why did Detroit get him? Why wouldn't they trade him?
It would be a sell high and buy low type of scenario. All these guys are familiar with Mike Dantonio system and honestly the 3 of them are really good defenders being Wilson C the weakest one of the three. Noel it is an RFA this summer so we have some room to wiggle. What hurts the most is Ariza but well to get something you have to give something right? Harden/Williams Gordon/Beverly Chandler/Covington Anderson/Harrell/Wiltjer Noel/Nene/Nanu This is a tremendous Lineup
I think it was Wilson Chandler OR Lou Williams - we were looking to ship Brewer out with some scraps/picks and we did. Morey made the better deal.
For those thinking Ariza is still an elite defensive player, watch again. He's clearly lost a step and while he still has length and defensive IQ, he is no longer the smothering wing defender he was in his prime. I love Ariza - consumate pro, a great role player...but the NBA is a harsh environment and even a small upgrade at a position should be explored. Chandler never had the defensive rep of Ariza, but even if it's a lateral move on talent(Chandler being as good as Ariza right now), it's still an upgrade because Chandler is younger and will remain at this skill level for a few more years where Ariza is going to start declining more and more.
Chandler is a better overall offensive player, but that doesn't matter as much as it did before since we have Lou now bringing another scoring punch. Ariza is the better 3pt shooter, better defender, cheaper contract, less injury prone and has great chemistry with our team. Gallo would be more interesting but again, I think we are set on the wings unless we do some crazy big deal.
