Maybe Cleveland is still looking to deal for Melo, in that case Shumpert, Frye and Jefferson would match up salary wise. If New York didn't want Shumpert's contract on the books, we could turn the LA deal into a massive 4 way deal and pick up Shumpert for only KH and Ennis.

Here's some from the last two years

    -- 2016
    • Jeff Teague for a #12 pick via a three team trade.
    • Thaddeus Young for a 20th pick (plus future 2nd)
    • Marco Belinelli for a 22nd
    • DMo for a #14 or so, but presumably for a *fully healthy* DMo
    -- 2015
    • Mason Plumlee for a #23

Wilson Chandler wants out. Wants more consistent role. What realistic assets do OKC and LAC have to get him?

as much as GarPax are procrastrinating with the Butler talks I don't believe they will let Gibson be able to leave them for nothing. That's not their modus operandi. Maybe they will try to trade Mirotic as well. If Bogdanovic can net a first rounder, Mirotic should as well.

Same with Chandler. So that's at least two more trades to come imo.

Maybe Payne? He looks like a small bust so Denver can give him a second look and see how it works.
Clips have noone who is a tradeable asset.

I have to guess LAC is trying to peddle Rivers in a WChandler trade.

well Rivers with his contract is not someone I would call an asset. ;) At best a slightly negative value.

Yeah, no chance Denver trades Chandler for Rivers and the Clippers 2018 2nd rounder, Gallo is also espiring (if not traded) so...

I should also add that all but the DMo trade were definitive, known pick positions. They were after then season ended and after the lottery selection draw.

The Clippers want everybody every season.

OKC getting Chandler would make them interesting.

On offense that is his role, much like Lebron is also a PG. On defense he's a wing.

bev/harden/EG/lou/ariza/dekker will all be splitting minutes at the 1,2,3 positions. Doesn't really matter what position you want to call it out of the traditional pg/sg/sf really. it's pretty much position less

    Not defensively.

Harden/Gordon/Ariza will guard wings over Bev and Lou because Bev and Lou can't guard wings. On offense Harden is the PG, then you have shooters and rollers with him. On defense everybody has a position.

You're still referring to traditional lineups. to a certain extent what you're saying is true, but in situations especially with bev he can absolutely guard wings, especially the 3 and D wings these days. There's going to be times when bev and lou will be guarding wings. Plenty of them in the league these days that they can guard

You should watch more basketball. You guard according to matchups, your offense determines your position. Harden can guard the PG position, he struggles with the speed of the players that play that position. And LeBron is not the PG, he's a point forward. Harden is the point guard in every sense of the word pair.

Point guards never guard Harden, does that make him a point wing? No. Does it make the defender a point guard? No.

    Offense determines position.
