No way Bev for Shumpert was ever discussed. Cavs may have proposed it, but that was never going anywhere. Houston likely proposed KJ + Ennis as a way to save Cavs tax.
here's all the guys around the salary range that aren't untouchable. i've bolded the guys I'd want: Brandon Knight Arron Afflalo Jordan Clarkson Tyson Chandler Miles Plumlee John Henson Marvin Williams Nikola Pekovic Kenneth Faried Thaddeus Young Marcin Gortat Amir Johnson Nikola Vucevic Solomon Hill Jeremy Lin Courtney Lee Wilson Chandler Derrick Favors Andrew Bogut Jon Leuer Mirza Teletovic Jared Dudley Al Jefferson Danny Green Zach Randolph Alec Burks Omer Asik Iman Shumpert Matthew Dellavedova Jerryd Bayless Trevor Booker Meyers Leonard Gerald Henderson Moe Harkless
I think Morey's been kicking the wheels on a Paul George deal. All of the sudden the Pacers are listening to offers for George right after the Lou Wil deal went down. Morey salivates at the thought of adding superstars. I'm wondering if he has the Pacers on hold trying to find a way to figure this out with a third team. I'm trade horny.
this is really to stir things up I think dude is on a perfcet contract one of best defense guards in the NBA Morey has to be doing this just to see what other teams will try to call saying Maybe we can make a deal with the bulls for butler ? but we dont have a pick
The back court and big rotation seems pretty set. We do need one more wing to go with Ariza and Dekker, but yeah, hard pass on Shump.
Bev to Cleveland Ariza and Shumpert to Indiana George to Houston Works cap-wise Just have to pepper in the necessary draft picks for Indy to bite. If I have to lose Bev, I'm losing him for an All-Star, Olympian, and an elite player all in one.
Sounds good to me! Of course it seems that everytime I make a call, Morey seems to go the opposite direction.
Three team deals like BimaThug's suggestion aren't circumnavigating anything...it's just each team has their own Point of View of salary matching requirements -- all standard stuff in multi-team trades. Each team's salary matching POV is salary in versus salary out. And each team can write their own trade details to the League Office that best benefits them. In a nutshell: Rockets POV => Lou and Player X salary coming in must match Brewer, Ennis and KJ going out POV of 3rd Team with Expiring = > Ennis and KJ coming in must match Expiring going out. (The expiring can be much bigger) POV of Player X team => Expiring Coming In must match Player X they send to us. (Player X can be bigger than expiring contract)
I think so, too. I think LA might have been so anxious to get that pick from Houston so it could turn around and be a player for Butler and George at the deadline. I don't think Morey has the pieces to make Indiana a legitimate offer. But I could see him working this Lou Williams deal to take on additional contracts and add 1-2 more pieces to the roster.
I can message Morey on Facebook and pitch some stuff in his ear lol he reads my messages only responded once though
People who are close to Morey have all heard the same thing. Morey is clear that Bev is not being discussed. It would take a superstar package for Morey to give up Beverly.
This. CP3 is heavily involved in the players union. He is going to require the full max from the Clippers but will resign. There is no way he is going to leave tens of millions of dollars in limbo considering his position with the union.
