If you look at our roster we're really already set, no more trades need to be made. If we chase Greg Monroe and Serge Ibaka HARD via free agency in 4 months we are legit contenders are the best looking team to beat GS. I really don't see the point in going after Noel. What the hell has he done to prove his worth over Capela? And Morey for sure isn't paying his ass the max he'll want this offseason.
Lmao Noel is better than both of those guys by a mile, gtfo. Greg Monroe, HA! Paging @malakas Monroe is a horrible fit.
"Already set", if Ariza and Ryno are starting for your team in 2017 you're far from set. Anderson is only reasonable next to a dominant center (which clint n greg are not)
Last time a checked Monroe ****ed the Warriors up BAD. And he'd be a nice backup to Capela with who can actually rebound and score. That's what is about at this point beating the warriors. Once again Noel has done jack **** to prove his worth on why we should break up the team.
U willing to risk the team and chemistry for something that might could happen? Don't u remember Lawson? Eye test means sht, U don't need to take unnecessary risk. Just because Noel could be top 10 C in NBA u don't trade away core players. Chemistry is also another factor. I like Noel he young with upside, but we basically in compete mode why take risk.
Well....Monroe is not a good fit for DA's system at all however this year he has slimmed down a lot, has put in great effort is consistent and has been having great perfomances. I dont' think he sucks at all in fact I dont' want him to opt out or get traded. However for teams who play fast and need their C to be a rim protector only or pnr finisher only then he doesn't fit. Maybe Morey on the other hand will try to go after Henson who should be available. He fits in the description that Woj is saying.
I'm saying bro people are riding jock like he's the second coming lol. It's about adding depth not gutting the core for an unproven player who's considered the 3rd center in the rotation on his team.
And what if we play one of the 29 teams not in Oakland? Ik the dubs are good but if Greg Monroe is how desperate you are to beat them, you aren't gonna beat them.
Taking risks > standing pat. Harden is IN HIS PRIME. Get that through your thick skull. If we dont improve, he leaves. Risks are necessary to take in team building... giving up Ryno isnt even one of those risks though.
The problem is people here actually think this team is good. It's not. Harden is carrying a bunch a spot up bums that can't defend or create and it will be exposed in the playoffs. Our guard rotation is awesome, everything else is not.
We not standing pat though, just got Lou. Who will replace Ryan minutes? Who will be spot up shooter? Noel at this late of season is too risky. Be realist, will he develop enough chemistry, learn the plays, actually contribute like top 10 c before playoffs? Then in playoffs where Noel never played before is he ready, coaches always have hard time trusting their playoff dreams on playoff virgins. U don't do stupid risky trades especially this late of season, what happen if outcome is worst than not having Anderson?
Gallo or Chandler will take Rynos minutes if ryno is moves for either or, thats not up for debate. They wouldnt have to learn much in terms of a playbook because all they need to do is spot up and put the ball on the floor, while Noel rolls hard to the basket every PnR. Its simple basketball homie
How we gonna get Noel Gallo chandler without first round pick? This isn't fanasty basketball where u can trade for useful players easily. If u want these players u need to go all in. U think if we go all in u think we can beat stack warriors? Be realistic
Don't see how this is a desperate move compared to gutting the team for Noel, basically the same player as Capela. Anyway if Monroe is not your cup of tea I also mentioned going after Ibaka.
Ibaka is considerable, but seems to be on a steady decline since 2014. And Noel is not the same player as Capela he's way more aggressive and fluid.
That's a lot of salary, meaning we would have to move a rotation player such as Bev or Ariza to get there. I would be shocked if this happened, but not disappointed if that player is the right one to move us a step ahead.
