Just remember he gets to live in LA now, has a good family, hot wife, healthy kid and he's a millionaire playing a game for a living.

    Brew is gonna be fine.

Well, right now it's a difference in 4 draft positions. Looks like a difference anywhere from 1-8 positions.

Still, only thing that makes sense here is that it wasn't their 2017 pick (or had protection, and Lakers want picks in this "loaded" draft), or WSH wanted to wait until Thursday, and Magic needs it now for other negotiations. Or chance WSH wanted to unload more salary, but they consider caproom just as important as a potentially minor difference in draft position.

Excellent move for the Rockets as it gives them more depth.

Now, strengthen the front court and perhaps we can be real contenders and have a 60 win season.

Awesome, interested to see what MDA does with the rotation, would like to see us go 10 deep and everyone's minutes go down a bit. Still not convinced that KJ hasn't always been better than Brewer at everything.

This is a guy who dropped 40 on the much vaunted Memphis defense and another 38 on Utah two days later. This guy can tear team to pieces and when you think about how he and Eric can shoot and break defences down just wow. Not to mention how many great looks Harden will create for him..

Yeah, I'm just referring to him as a person. I listened to him on a podcast recently and the dude was hilarious.

Plus, the guy holds a special place in my heart forever for the game 6 comeback against the Clips. It's difficult watching him struggle, but even the most anti-Brewer Rockets fans have to admit he definitely had his big moments. He has just fell off really damn hard.

    Williams
    Gordon
    Dekker
    Trez
    Nene

2nd unit is loaded. With Brewer gone KJ better get his act together because he now has an opportunity to earn some minutes. Not to Mention we can play Dekker at the 3 and open up minutes for TREZ at his natural 4 position as Rynos backup

Doesn't mean they didn't try to work those into a Cousins trade first (3-way deal), but ended up losing out on Cousins. We also don't know if those where future 1st or protected 1st or what.

Are ppl tweeting stuff like that to say Lakers screwed up royally? Same with the WSH pick. Even Woj never knows right away if protection is involved or future or not. Then you can also have a significant difference in salary matching, or someone has more years to pay out. Brewer matched almost perfectly. That can have some effect in decisions, especially if the picks are rather close right now, as they could change a little.

[EDIT] Saw this in a later zeeshan2 post.

Uh, Ramona, put these two tweets together, and think about it. The Lakers were setting up a 3-team deal for Cousins involving Lou to a third team and the 1st to Sacramento.

Didn't expect this big a splash.

2 legit 6th man of the year candidates on the same squad.

    3 legit creators.

Hope some solid bigs get dumped and we can pick up someone to set picks and rebound for these guys.

    Yep. 100% agree. Good riddance.

Yet, I still like the guy.

Thanks for the shoutout.... just going with intuition and making these trade proposals in my head.... feel as though I can keep the bias and homerism and overvaluation of our players out of my thought process when thinking about fits and making the team better.

So happy we got Lou, now teams will never be able sag on the corners, even though our defense might take a little hit.

Now lets hope and pray that Wilson Chandler could be had... I do not want to trade Dekker for him....even though I think dekker is nothing special, I would be more inclined to move Ariza,KJ, and 2nd Wilson Chandler. This is a move that will put us in the rank of GS, believe it or not... and it was would def make us the 2nd most talented team in NBA behind them. We would smoke SA, and would have a dog fight with the warriors. So lets hope and pray we can get it done.

    Bev/Lou
    Harden/Gordon
    Chandler/Dekker
    Anderson/Harrell
    Capela/Nene

    MY GOD!!! One can wish!
