Hmm. Well I can't read through 24 pages, I already read through the first 13, but I for one am completely horrified by this trade.

How dare the shameful opportunist, Daryl Morey, take advantage of a beloved NBA great whose mind is obviously being ravaged by the HIV virus.:D

I keed. I keed. Everyone here is smarter than me and already said what I was thinking but I can't help but wonder what Magic's up to. It's obviously a tank job this season but perhaps he's eyeing a key acquisition in free agency along with a player he going to target in the draft. We'll see how this GM thing works for him and if he makes anymore moves.

I warmly welcome Lou and the ladies to H-town.

Great post. Essentially we'll have 48 minutes of elite PNR guard play with an elite PNR kind of coach surrounded by shooters and cutters. Such a fantastic trade for us.

Good move. So now that we have Lou, can Morey package Ennis, B Brown, and /or KJ for another F to add depth behind Ariza or Anderson?

Magic does not care about Brewer, all he needs is draft picks.

Here I was.... expecting the same ol' trade deadline pointless trade that doesn't move the needle for us.

    And boom. Morey delivers.

And also, I can't help to feel like Magic really knows what he's doing. If you want to tank, Brewer is your guy.

fwiw: cyberx said Lakers wanted a first to use it before the deadline. So they might have forced the decision earlier than Morey would have liked.

Not sure if I'm following. Harden will play the same role, which (despite popular opinion) does already include some Harden deferring to another guard early and cutting. You don't need to put Harden in a corner to keep him fresh...you just sit him now. I'm also pretty confident that if you are saying someone else will run PnRs while Harden is on the court, that won't happen. I'll be very surprised if we see any significant change in Harden's role.

Another thing...Harden already guards 3s. He does it a lot. We like to switch him into the front court, and keep him out of the back court on defense...if we can. Ideally, we like him weakside as well, guarding the corner three.

Such a nice move. Not to mention the flexibility we now have with that contract if we do make a big move over the summer. I'm super excited about our backcourt now.

Quick question I know that Lou Williams can score, but is he the ball handler some of u been beggin Morey to look for?

TBH though lou William doesn't have to do much brewer didn't really set a high bar. It was a good trade regardless if ball handler or not.
