After this acquisition do we have the best back court rotation in the NBA?

    Harden/Bev
    Gordo/Lou

    Vs....?

Curry and Klay are great, but Livingston is alone.

Wall and Neal are very very good, but no depth. Burke and Thornton?

Isiah and Avery? But only smart backing up.

Lowry and derozen but only Joseph.

Our guard rotation has more 3ptm than all but 6 teams.

Harden and Lou are tops in drawing fouls. All 4 are very good at shooting 3s and efficiency overall.

    Defense? Tf is that?

    Anyways thoughts?

no matter what a backcourt with curry and thompson is the best in the NBA.

I mean back in the 90s the best backcourt rotation was always Michael Jordan and whoever else they put in the rotation.

We are deep but the Curry/Thompson combo is too legit. They've proven it

I would move Gordon to starting and have Bev be PG alongside Lou.

Like I said in the other thread best overall (consider 4) back court in the league

Will be tough to find a better 4some than Harden, EGOO, Bev and Lou Will

    It's easily the best.

Our backcourt should score 65-70 ppg on most nights and occasionally get to 80.

I love depth and would love to be wrong but I think the warriors have proven that Curry/Thompson + whatever scrubs come in after them is more of a net positive than any other back court in the NBA.

The 90s bulls always had the best backcourt because Michael Jordan + whatever scrubs were always better than anything else.

The early 2000s lakers always had the best frontcourt because Shaq + whoever was always better than any other front court except maybe that chris webber + vlade divac kings frontcourt

How? We have the better starting PG, the 3 pt champion and another legit 6th man, plus a defensive dawg in PatBev.

I'm diehard rockets all the way but I just can't believe we have the best backcourt yet. I also don't like the argument of comparing accolades. If you stack up accolades you can say the warriors have a 2 time MVP, 2 three point champions and 3 NBA champions in their backcourt.

Also Curry and Thompson have no doubt proven that they have a very unique/special chemistry. They compliment each other perfectly.

The only point that I 100 percent agree with you on there is that we have the better starting PG ;) James Harden is better than Curry this year IMO.

We have a great backcourt on paper, but let's let them play some games first. It doesn't always work out. Remember Lawson?

    Harden > Curry
    Gordon >= to Klay
    Williams > Livingston
    Bev > Clark

    Now you tell me?

I wish it worked like that but basketball isn't math. It's a lot easier to understand football like that but basketball is such a holistic and rhythmic game that it is impossible to isolate each players effect that way.

Until we take it from them I think you have to give the nod to ...... splash bros.

It felt disgusting to say splash bros. I hate having to argue for these guys lol

This is why Harden is here. Jordan was one of the few NBA players in history to truly both make everyone around him better and will his team to victory every single night. Now, James has more talent around him than Jordan ever did. Scary.

Objectively, we have more talent now than GS in the backcourt. As we see, this offense is predicated on 3s and layups/dunks and we've looked like world beaters when two players other than Harden can manage to stroke it. Add a piece like Williams and we're arguably more dangerous. You add his ability to go off any night w/ the best one-on-one defensive guard in the league when healthy, the rightful MVP, and the 3 point winner this year and we're better.

I understand wanting to see them play b4 we anoint them anything, but at some point one of the splash brothers has to sit. With Ego, Lou, and James we can massacre teams some nights just like the Warriors do and still have Bev who can hit open 3s and man up the other teams quickest guard.

I like where you are getting at but Ill argue against your point that we objectively have more talent. I dont think its objective at all. Its fair to consider a backcourt with a 2 time mvp and a dude who scored 37 points in a quarter as the best.

There is definitely an argument to be made for either side. Its not objective.

I like your points and optimism but im gonna adopt a wait and see approach. Until we prove ourselves I feel inclined to respect the status quo of splash bros as the best backcourt.

(It feels disgusting typing splashbros and arguing for them)

A Harden/Lou backcourt has to be considered one of the best in the league if not the best.
