We should seriously consider starting Lou Williams or Eric Gordon. Not for the award, but so we can push Bev to the bench. Guy is fragile as **** now.
Lou WIlliams is the NBA 6th Man of The Year. Go ahead and give him his award. Gordon has to go back into the starting lineup now. (if MDA is smart)
I like bev in the starting lineup. He sets the tone for us. I think he has earned the spot. Hes improved a lot offensively and his defense is key for us. I love the idea of blowing teams away in the 2nd quarter. Dantoni will mix and match in the 4th
I understand your point, but I humbly and respectfully disagree. We can never compete for a championship with Bev starting. Plus he is to me more injury prone than Gordon because of his style of play. We need him in the playoffs, off the bench albeit, to have a chance...not in a suit. Plus, Gordon starting means he has to play make less and can just spot up off of Harden, making him less injury prone. Also opens the floor up more for Harden and Capella to do their thing. Nevertheless, MDA may see it your way.
Yeah we will have to see. I can vibe it your way too. Ill bet dantoni experiments in order to find out. He is probably wondering himself.
I hate to say it, but it kinda should be Williams. He's played every game this season, only started one, and is averaging more points per game than Gordon. Plus the one knock that I had on the guy(he was playing on a losing team) has just been eliminated. Gordon started the first dozen or so games and has missed a handful due to injuries. If their respective stats remain the same the rest of the way(and assuming both come off the bench behind Bev and Harden), Lou's got the edge.
but EGOD looked like an all star player when he had it grooving in december. Maybe williams is more consistent but EGOD can play like a top 15 offensive talent when he has it going. To be straight up though I haven't seen williams play enough yet so my opinion can't be taken too seriously
If Gordon can recapture that December form and maintain it the rest of the way, then it's a tossup. But he has not been the same player in the new year. It would be great if they were to share the award(ala Kidd and Hill for ROTY back in 1995), but I think Lou is a slight favorite at the moment.
