I'd love Collison on this team. KJ and Ennis' salaries would be enough(I think). The only drawback is Collison is a free agent after this season and will be due a nice fat raise.

As for Koufos, he'd also be a great pickup, but who would the Kings take back in return? Brewer's salary might be enough, but why in the hell would Sactown make that deal when both Koufos and Brewer have 2 years left on their deals(assuming Koufos opts out in 2018)?

 

Haven't heard anything about big help for HOU. They seem to like Capela, Nene & Harrell as a trio. Limited in what they can/will trade too.

They aren't willing to deal from their 8-9 man rotation and no one is knocking on the door looking to acquire sweetener Kevin McDaniels Jr., cherry Corey Brewer, Bobby Brown, Tyler Ennis, Chinanu Onuaku & Kyle Wiltjer?

I think expiring players are perfect since we are trading to win now. If it works out, maybe re-sign them. If not, then we chase other FAs this summer.

 

Haha indeed a shocker. I'm really thinking Morey is getting scared because he got accused of not caring about chemistry, but we need to acknowledge there is a little window of opportunity with Harden. Forget about Dekker, Capela and whomever being good role players down the line, right now they are the two guys who should be upgraded in case of a trade. We need a new starting SF / SF off the bench like Gallo / Chandler and a center like Chandler / Koufos, a veteran who can rebound. Chandler and Chandler would be great!!

True. It does provide flexibility(there's that word again). But it also means that if Collison(or any other expiring player) does really well after being traded here, you have to pay big money to keep them. I guess it all comes down to what the Rockets have to give up.
