Ben mclemore should be on the Rockets radar with e.g. Off the bench. Mannnnn. Also Wilson Chandler to replace Ariza in the starting line up.
Still think a trade for Dudley and Barbosa would be grand. Don't think they would ask for much. Maybe KJ and Harrell??
@basketballholic I think Alexis Ajinca would be a good target to add to C depth. I am sure the Pells would give him away. KJ would have to included in that one to match salaries.
Like the first part. Do not want any part of Rubio.... it's so clear that she doesn't fit the system here in Houston. Good player, just not the Rockets type.
Supposedly the Pistons have had talks about moving him and with the Cousins deal setting the market it might not be to crazy.
Havent followed him for a while. I would throw them one of our young wings and Brew to get Asik back. I am sure Morey is on it given our connections with the Pels management.
Surely either of Ajinca or Asik is available for a guard? KJ for Ajinca? Ajinca is big and he's cheap, but he is soooo bad in the half court offensively. Just gets in the way. Could he learn Capela's p'n'r game?
Branes>>>brewer. Plays with attitude and heart... would be an upgrade if he can be had on the cheap.... anyone would be an upgrade over brewer tho.
..... you want Rubio who can't shoot his piss in the toilet when he is sitting down on it..... sooooo
Drum is better then Capella. I would touch Rubio afraid of his cantshotatall virus But wouldn't Drummond be like Dwight 2.20 all over again?
No. Because he actually knows he sucks offensive one on one.... he would be our rim protector, and rebounder and would be more comparable to amare with the suns or DJ with the clippers. OH THE POSSIBILITIES!.
In: Julius Randle, Luol Deng, Nick Young Out: Ryan Anderson, Dekker, KJ and our 1st round pick. Deng and Anderson's contracts are equally bad and long (nearly identical). Deng doesn't fit in LA and he wouldn't be ideal here either considering his contract but I'd absorb it to get Randle. Deng brings veteran leadership, playoff experience, is a high IQ player that can help a team that's in a Win Now mode. Most importantly he can play key minutes at the 3 and 4 when we bring him off the bench. Big fan of Randle's game. Good size, strength, soft touch, can pass. Most importantly he knows how to PnR and can pick n pop. Left handed player that looks good in the open court as well as he has some nice handles of his own to start a break after grabbing a board. His game isn't above the rim and he needs to keep improving defensively but all things considered I think he would look damn good in our offense and solve a lot of our needs. Bring Nick Young off the bench for instant offense and he would be insurance for Ego and Bev but most importantly cut into Brewer's minutes. Why the Lakers should consider it? I think Randle is the odd man out in LA. I think they're more committed to Russ and Ingram. Not to say they can't commit to all 3 but It may just be wishful thinking on my part but it's hard to develop all that young talent on one team plus they're gonna have another top 5 pick this year most likely. They also have Nance who may be the better fit for them at the 4 anyways and it opens up more PT for him to see if he's a keeper. Most importantly flexibility. They get our pick and Anderson is much more tradeable than Deng. Anderson is 3 years younger than Deng and clearly the better player now. Deng really doesn't fit on that team and their future movement. They get a nice piece in Dekker to go along with their other young stars. Backcourt rotation of Bev, Harden, Gordon, Young. Front court rotation of Ariza, Deng, Randle, Capela, Nene. We become so much more versatile with Randle instead of Anderson. We could do even do our version of a death lineup. Harden, Ego, Ariza, Deng, Randle.
