It still ticks me off that the Rockets constantly have to deal with a strong Western Conference while also being in a stacked division all the time, where there are usually at least 4 good teams (sometimes 5). Why can't Boogie go to the East?

They're building a Kentucky Wildcat All-Star team over there ... well, ok, and Terrence Jones.

Buddy Hield needs to develop into a perennial All-Star in order for this trade to not go down as a total heist.

It worked out for the Grizzlies whenever they forked over Pau for Kwame (+ Marc).

I'm not convinced this will help the Pels all that much. They get a 1-year rental of a malcontent center who won't be fully committed since he'll bolt for greener pastures at the end of this contract. Now they have to find a way to make him and AD work together, despite them competing for the same touches. All while losing three other guys, a likely lottery pick and another in the top 40-45. I have doubts they'll manage to get a cohesive flow going with all the changed pieces in time to avoid a first-round playoff bounce. Next year they *might* be a 45-50 win team, at best.

The Kings, on the other hand, also got worse. Because of course they did, they're the Kings.

Boogie is under contract for all of next year too. Even without a lack of commitment beyond that, this a no-brainer for New Orleans.

This is Pau for Kwame level. And I don't trust the Kings front office to have enough foresight to have a Marc Gasol included in this deal.

Just saw that and altered my original post. I don't think it changes too much, though, because they still have to make him happy to keep him around, and nothing and nobody makes Boogie happy.

This is obviously not a great deal, a lot of teams could've offer a better package, but Boogie will be an expiring contract next season so...yeah, it's still a risk.

Since we're most likely in the business of minor tweaks and adjustments...

Any potential buyout candidates in this 3-for-1 deal?

Langston Galloway will *reportedly* be waived.

Quick Morey while Divac is still in some opium haze trade Brewer, KJ, and Brown for Kosta and Collison.

    Butler to Celtics

George to Lakers (You don't reject Cousins for Ingram unless something else is going on)

    Calling it.

I think you reject it because Ingram can be a star in this league, not sure I trade him for a guy who could leave soon and hasn't been able to lift the Kings to the playoffs.

Morey did not make any impressive trade in recent 3 years.

    So please stay low expectation.

We really need to make some moves and shake things up.

This mentality of first year team let them struggle in the playoffs like what the Celtics might do is never remembered that way, once the second year comes around and they lose again people will always remember a teams first year as an extra year a team wasn't able to win together.

This team as constructed is miles ahead of last year IQ wise with getting shots but the fact that those shots aren't going in anymore leads to the same result. Shake it up now, bundle players and get real stars here!

Not sure why you guys are so upset about Cousins. The Pels offered a better and a young promising player in Hield. I dont see how we can top that offer. I've been one of Morey's critics but this is not his fault.

But Boston could have easily beaten NO's offer. I am surprised that Ainge didn't go after Cousins.
