Galloway waived? With that deal? Is that a joke?

Tyreke and 1 First Round pick are the high light of the trade? Kings are idiots

This is worse. Harden was not considered a Top 10 talent at the time like Boogie. Kevin Martin was a legit 6th man replacement. It was an atrocious deal, but this is worse. All 29 other teams, including the Pelicans themselves, could have topped this offer.

Because Boogie's agent told they won't commit to a new deal after the trade, i guess this is why a lot of teams didn't pull the trigger, i bet we're one of those.

This was effectively Hield and a late lottery pick for Cousins. You think we didn't have the players to beat that?

Kings got a ok deal for someone who scared off a lot of teams in terms of value.

And plz... explain to be what we could have possibly offered to beat their unprotected 1st, 2nd, expiring, galloway, and buddy (who has more upside than anyone realistically available to be traded from the Rockets).

    Stop the homerism. My god.

The kings got the best package they could have gotten... and they ran with it. Good for them. I hope it works out both ways.

No other team in the NBA could have afforded the return of Reke to Sactown.

No we're not. The Rockets could easily beat that offer. Forget for a moment about the salaries matching. The Kings just accepted 3 average shooting guards, a 1st rounder, and a 2nd rounder for Cousins. That's a terrible deal. We could offer a solid starting center in Capela, a promising SF in Dekker, and a decent backup 4 in Harrell along with plenty of first and second rounders.

Rockets may have been able to beat the deal, but not easily.

#DREAMBIG :D Sorry to those I've ever criticized in the random trade thread! You too can be the GM of the Sacramento Kings! ;)

To everyone that says the Rockets could have given Sacramento a better deal, newflash: this is WHY the Kings are who they are. If they had a competent front office no way would a pupu platter would have been accepted for Cousins.

    Kings gonna Kings.

Hield is still a top prospect with upside and lottery picks aren't easy to acquire. We should know, sonce we strike out on trading up into the lotto practically every year.

We would've had to give up our youth and depth, but I'd do it in a heartbeat. You can replace the likes of Dekker and Harrell in the offseason. And Cousins himself would effectively replace Capela, so losing him wouldn't matter. As long as you resign Cousins, this is a no-brainer. Odds are the Rockets ain't winning the title this season. But next year and beyond, they'd be in the top tier of contenders provided they can replace that depth.

No way! Harden might actually average double digit turnovers if that happened.

But Hield is still a prospect. He's not a star right now. And the Kings only got one first round pick in this deal. Plus we don't even know what the protections on it are.

Hield was the 6th Pick in the last draft. Are you already saying he's nothing...a complete bust?

    There might be no protections.

Hield is a 1st rounder, essentially. A rookie 6th pick. I consider it 2 first rounders.

I'm not saying Kings shouldn't have gotten something better, but no way can we compete with that offer.

Which is exactly why I say folks overrate our assets.

This is a horrible trade any way you look at it for the Kings. The pick is most likely not going to be lottery and if it is it won't be top 10.

Why are some of you posters commenting about Cousins signing in the summer. He's not a free agent this summer. He doesn't have an option. His contract ends summer 2018

What in the world are you looking at?

Galloway is going to be waived.

The NOP 2nd is equal in value to the 2nds we own (Portland and Denver).

Hield is shooting 39% from the field.

The 1st will likely be in the 10-14 range.

You don't think some combo of Capela, Dekker, our first, 2 2nds, rights to Llull and Gentile, Harrell could beat that? Not saying that's a great deal, but it's certainly better than what SAC just got.

Just an all around blunder by the Kings.
