    The market sets his value, man. And Morey understands that very well. Plus, he a 7th pick of the draft. It's not out-of-the-ordinary to offer a first round pick for him.

    Morey has this cool new tool called analytics. It says McLemore is not worth giving up something of value. Check out nba.com or Basketball Reference for details.

    Anthony Bennett was the #1 Pick in the exact same Draft, does that mean we should spend a first round pick on him, too?

    I don't disagree with your assessment of McLemore. It was more to do with a poster shouting around thinking Morey isn't doing anything just because a player has ben rumoured with another team. The same Morey that had us at Western Conference Finals two years ago, and has us 3rd overall in standings this season. Morey has always kept his action pretty secretive, and most if not all of the times, he's surprised when he's actually made the move.

    Now back to McLemore. The issue is what are we going to part with of value? We're not getting him for combinations starting with Brewer, KJ or Ennis. Do we want to trade 2 more years of Dekker at rookie scale for McLemore? Or Montrez, or Clint? A 1st round draft pick in 2017? Why would we do that in a loaded draft, for someone that could potentially cost us $10m if a bidding war starts (say Brooklyn Nets who wants to hand out offers to RFAs that are willing to sign), and we'd be left with nothing.

    McLemore would be better in an uptempo system. But he's too unproven after 4 years to be shelling out a 4 year contract at $32-40m. That, and possible injures to Gordon/Anderson could effectively tie our hands in trade/free agency for many years.

    Antbony Bennet didn't play for the Kings. Just about every report I read on Ben McLemore, all those experts said a new team would be in the best interest for him.

    None of them wrote him off as some kind of bust because good players do go to the Kings and end up looking bad as a player. McLemore still has high upside, and he just need a new team, the right Coach and in a steady environment. The Rockets fits the bill.

    Dekker or 1st round picks arent a "cheap price". And you really want to side with ABS? That dude thinks Morey ****ed up with the Rockets being a 3rd seed and tells other people "how GMs do things" despite never even seeing an NBA office his entire life. Anything that comes put of his mouth is automatically wrong.

    As for the OP this like the 3rd dumbass thread you've created now. First you make a trade proposal thread when there's a random trade thread now you make a deadline rumor thread when there's an nba deadline rumor thread. You think people want to read separate threads on random **** you make up? Your posts don't have any insider information or additional value why should they be in separate threads when there are perfectly good threads with your topic already existing?

    Also OP wants to trade a PER of 10 AND a 1st for the PER of 8! The only difference between KJ & McLemore is 25 minutes of playing time. Switch minutes between the 2 & the Kings will be wanting to trade McLemore & a 1st for KJ.
