That's fine but I reckon your not familiar with crowder at all I surmise? He's better than ariza but very similar player. Has likely the beat valued contract at 4 yrs and only 6m per. But that's a fair assessment because a young player on rookie scale on contender rotation plus a 1st seems like solid value but I would clearly do it. None the less I still don't think Boston would trade him even after acquiring Butler. More likely to shed Amir or jarebko contract instead and keep jae
The other thing with cyberx that people seem to miss is he gets a lot of late and rumor type info. So maybe the Rockets kicked the tires on these guys awhile back and that was it. I don't see Morey going for either.
@Codman's contributions in is thread are premium. Certainly helps turn around the crap posts in this thread that started out great with @cyberx's great info. Rolo would be a nice fit on Rockets but his contract is steep. I could certainly see Morey trying to get into any 3 way deals for parts. I think when Codman refers to trades that could be painful (dont bite the hand) he is referring to ARIZA.
It really bothers me that people are praising Cyberx for this "great info." Morey's been "looking at" Chandler since he was playing for the Knicks, and he happens to be one of the players who came out publicly being frustrated with his role. Who are the "others?" I could see if he said Morey is finalizing a trade for Chandler. Codman is who needs his own threads.
@Codman always appreciate your posts. @BigMaloe one can only dream right....?: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=znwcy5s Boston receives: Jimmy Butler KJ McDaniels 2017 2nd Round Pick from Houston (via Denver Chicago receives: Jaylen Brown Avery Bradley Trevor Ariza 2018 1st Round Pick from Boston (via Brooklyn) 2019 1st Round Pick from Boston (via LA Clippers) 2017 2nd Round Pick from Houston (via Portland) Houston receives: Jae Crowder Taj Gibson Boston: They get the best player in the deal, a player to complete their own Big 3 with Thomas and Horford. They lose a good portion of their depth but none of those players is a difference maker like Butler. The picks might hurt but Ainge keeps his 2017 1st Rounder. They get to test drive McDaniels and see if he can bring anything to the table (I'd say he can contribute a bit more for Stevens in Boston than he has in Houston) Chicago: Bradley immediately steps into the starting PG role where he'll be playing a more Chalmers-type alongside Wade. I think this will be a better fit for Wade than Rondo/MCW ever will be. Brown has all the potential in the world but until he learns the NBA game they have Ariza at the starting SF spot. Ariza can't replicate Butler's performance but he, again, will play the complementary role here for a couple of years. Of course, this trade also signifies that Chicago is going to blow the whole thing up. Getting those picks (along with Brown) will go along way into rebuild mode. Which brings up Gibson, who's going to be a free agent after this year and getting him for Ariza and a 2nd Rounder should be a nice package for a player that would have walked anyway. Houston: 2 2nd Rounders + Ariza for Crowder and Gibson? (I'm purposely not including KJ here) Sign me up! Gibson plugs right into the team either as the 6th or 7th man coming off the bench or the starter at the 4 or 5 whenever the situation permits. He's the guy that we can put alongside Nene during crunch time when we need more frontcourt defense. He's the guy that can sub at the 4 when Ryno's shot is off and run that PnR with Harden until the other team's wheels fall off. Crowder? At the starting SF spot? And for only about $7 mill a year for the next 3 years? Man...if anyone is going to make us forget about Ariza, it's Crowder.
There is no way Ariza is traded in my opinion. I could see him traded in the offseason, but now doesn't seem like the right time... He is definitely inconsistent which is annoying. A lot of people are saying he is regressing which seems to be true. When he does contribute though, Rockets have a great chance to win. Him scoring a lot isn't likely, but I think there is a stat when he scores like 15+, Rockets usually win. I think his recent struggles have been due to fatigue. Who knows...
Would take this all day and consider it a huge win lol even if we have them a 2nd @steddinotayto there are a lot of possibilities and different pieces in a Houston/Boston/Chicago trade.
Man, why you gotta make me use the ignore function again? I hate putting posters on ignore but you are really a blight on pretty much every GARM thread. Please go back to wherever you came from and stop ruining this otherwise wonderful forum.
