I almost turned the TV off after the first few minutes. One stupid turnover after another to start the game, and at home. Very, very frustrating to watch.
Really surprised and disappointed at the lack of urgency in this game. I don't understand the mentality.
Totally agree. It's like they were mentally checked out and in All Star break mode with a game left to play. I just don't get it. That strange lack of focus is not going to result in a championship, not in my opinion. I hope MDA read them the riot act after the game. The Rockets better wake up and smell the coffee.
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen 16h16 hours ago D'Antoni said Beverley told him his groin strain was not serious, nothing torn.
i ve had all kind sprains from the balls to the ground, and groin recovery was slowest. it took a year for me to fully recover, and it was just a 1st degree sprain. hope he ll be fine much sooner, though. i needed a win. i know you guys always think for the long run, but i have to survive a whole week on a loss, now. god damn you, rockets.
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen 3m3 minutes ago A day later, I'm told the Rockets are still confident Pat Beverley's groin strain is not serious.
We really need to get a handle on all these turnovers. And we need Gordon to do more than just shoot three pointers. He also need to give us some consistency.
The budget centers/bigs that would truly fit and help have already been transaction-ed this late into the season and cannot be moved again any time soon? I see no hope for contending this post season which really sux.
That's exactly what happened. They tried to turn it on late but there wasn't enough clock left when they finally decided to start playing basketball.
calm down yall we just need to stay healthy for the playoffs...our guys are cruising and i am applauding them for that
It sure is unacceptable. You simply can't cruise through a game on autopilot and expect to pull out a win in the last quarter against any NBA team. If the Rockets are going to waltz onto the court and play like they did, they may as well have had someone come out just before the game started and and say to the ref, We just don't feel like it tonight, so we're going back to the locker room and get dressed." Have the chump wave to the crowd and then leave. Give the crowd their money back and call it a night. At least Bev would be healthy, which would be the only positive to come out of the whole sorry mess. Yeah, I'm still a little ticked off.
Having played 5 or 6 more games than any other team does matter. That's a big difference in rest and recovery which creates this situation.
This is a myth, the Rockets have played 58 games, as have a small number of other teams. The bulk of the rest of the league has played 57 games, and one or two I believe are at 56.
The problem is this team always seems ****ed when there's a competent opposing big. He doesn't have to be the most athletic guy but when he's got that 9 ft plus standing reach and can position himself, this team has no answer. What a croc...
