I disagree. Pistons need more depth and Jeff Green, off the bench, is a good option and the Pistons play better with Ish Smith anyway. DJ also played well in his last stint with SVG.

Reggie is just an average starting PG.

    Sure, why not?

He's a half-decent backup PG. Surprised he moves as often as he does.

Green is garbage, an extremely poor version of Harris/Morris, Augustin is a decent backup.

I don't see the point of trading a starting caliber PG, who's young, healthy enough, on a fair long term contract for a decent backup and filler.

He must be causing major lockeroom issues for them to be considering that deal. Even if they wish to part from him in sure they could get a 1st and or a good young player.

Well they're playing CONSIDERABLY better with Ish Smith on the floor and Jackson isn't willing to accept a back up role. So you can imagine the problems.

15 points, 5.5 assist, 2 rebounds, 1 steal on 43/36/85 with only 2.4 turnovers,1.5 three's made per game in 28 minutes seems starter quality to me.

His DPM is awful though, I believe what you guys are saying when you say he's not fitting with the Pistons/making them worse, I just find it hard to believe he couldn't net a 1st somewhere.

Yeah i don't know, but after all if you think about it, he has been a bench guys for most of his (not long) career, and his game kinda screams 6th man...i mean, if you put a guy like Lou Williams as a starter, he's probably going to make similar numbers, but the team will probably not play that well...now, i don't think he's on the same level or just the same player as Lou, but i don't know, overall i just don't see him as a starter...in a legit team at least. And btw who knows, maybe they'll get a 1st or one/two 2nd rounders, i guess we need to wait and see if/howthis turns out.

Mythology. Watched him from day 1. He never had much potential.

    Exactly! May as well \thread.

This clueless guy obviously doesn't know RJ well at all.

Orlando, LAC, Det and MIN is what happens when your coach coaches and tries to be the GM at the same time.
DET had DJ last season and traded him to ORL. Now they want him back bc they realize how much they need a play making PG over a scoring PG. For those saying Jackson is a selfish player, they are wrong, he's just in a system that doesn't suite his game. They don't need Jackson to score, however, that's his strength and not playmaking. If Jackson could score and be a playmaker he would be an MVP candidate like Harden but we all know there is only a handful of players than can do both.
ORL on the other hand could use Jackson's scoring bc they desperately need scoring. Putting Jackson at the PG and Fournier at the SG would be great for ORL, it would solidify that backcourt with a pretty good 1, 2 punch.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Payton went to Orlando instead of DJ. Payton is def NOT happy with his role in ORL and his skills don't fit what ORL is trying to do. Also Green is the kind of SF/PF that Stan likes and would be the icing on the cake to throw him in.
    I predict:
Jackson, Udrih, and Boban to ORL
    For
Payton, Green, and a future 2nd to DET

That's the point. "Solid" without much upside and peaked out his 2nd year. There have been countless guys like him in the NBA. If Jeff Green hadn't played with KD & WB in OKC, nobody would have ever heard of him.

Being on the same team with those two and drafted the same year as KD raised his profile to a level he didn't deserve.

I watched nearly every game he played at OKC. Scott Brooks' love affair with Jeff Green was a huge, negative topic among OKC followers.

Tweener players who don't have a lot of skill rarely if ever turn into stars. They just piddle along.

re: Orlando - Frank Vogel coaches, Rob Hennigan is the GM. The rest, yes, are coach/GM.

Augustin signed as a FA with Orlando.

Detroit traded him 2 years ago to OKC. OKC traded him to Denver. He signed with Orlando.

    Carry on. :)

I was about to start topic but was too lazy other day, who would you pick Rubio (with his holes in his game) or Jackson (with his flaws in his game). Sorry, but not sorry. Point ****ing guard is suppose to be guy who has some sort of vision and loves playing with his team mates. Is not that Jackson totally can't pass, but its often that he will rather jack up some crazy shot than rather pass to open team mate, not only does he break flow of the game with that kind of stupidity, but he also doesn't follow game plan, not sure he would fit in many coaches schemes, unless as a scoring push of the bench and as you know when Thunder tried to do that he was unhappy as hell. In other words, guy doesn't know his own limitations and is a big douche bag, so yes, he has talent but not much brain how to use it.

hahaha that's hillarious! A horrible trade for the Pistons that only serves to illustrate how much of a malcontent Jackson is.

Orlando Magic are the worst organization in the NBA. Someone from the BBS must be the gm.
