New streak started...two games in a row where Rockets games went over the total!!! Thank god Anderson decided to show up toward the end of the game.
Miami was 25/32 in the paint tonight. We were 21 of 43 in the paint tonight. 1. We get totally gutted defensively in the paint. 2. We are not good at finishing in the paint.
Miami just owns the matchup, simple as that. Whiteside plays like the best center in the league against us.
who gives a **** about some says?? at this point you can go out there play better than brewer, thats how bad he is.
We are soft, aside from Beverley and occasionally old Nene and Ariza we get some grit and toughness but most of our guys are just nice. Capela and Harrell do not scare anyone, Anderson is a one trick pony, Gordon is a hobbling bad shooter and Harden leaves our guys hanging on D. It's nice that we are winning games, but knowing we will get stomped in the play-offs is not fun for me. Maybe all you guys saying stay calm, we're good, 3rd seed still think we have something here, but I we're barely playing like a top 10 team. I'd pick Cavs, Warriors, Spurs, Clippers, Celtics, Spurs & Jazz clearly over us and arguably the Hawks, Heat Grizzlies & Wizards. We need a trade for at least a defensive wing and center who can rebound and be tough inside.
Whiteside aka Count Blockula should get some credit for that. I also blame the Rockets, though. We took the first three quarters off and then suddenly decided to start playing again in the 4th. If we played like that from the opening tip we likely win the game. Make no mistake, though. In our 4 losses to the Heat and the Hawks we got ripped to shreds in the paint, so it's a problem.
We also got smacked by the grizz. It's pretty obvious that we are weak in the paint and every team with good scoring bigs will abuse us (except sac, they somehow can't win against us despite having the best scoring big in the league).
In no way shape or form should Harrell even be considered a backup 5 in this league. He's no where near as smart or quick as Donkey Green to make up for anything in that department.
