Wheels coming off? Because the NYT runs yet another smear story attributing "nameless sources" with zero proof and the liberal MSM takes it and runs with it?

I'm sure this story has about as much truth to it as the "computer scientists seeing evidence of vote manipulation in Wisconsin" necessitating a recount, or the Golden Showers story, the debunked gropers, or any other pathetic, made up, fake news bullshit that the media is trying to run to get a few days worth of negative coverage of Trump.

 

The NYT is one of the most highly reliable sources out there. Sorry, cuz, but you're way off in your criticism. I agree that everyone should be skeptical of news sources, but the NYT is one of the highest regarded media outlets there are.

The NYT are not perfect. They were caught with bad stories that weren't credible supporting GW Bush and the Iraq war, but they eventually published an apology for those. When they make mistakes they print corrections. They did break the Clinton email server story as well.

I understand why you don't want to believe these stories, but that doesn't mean it's wise to just automatically dismiss them.

Are you too dense realize that the intelligence community is out to get Trump and since NYT is using anonymous intel sources they(intel community) can literally make up anything they want to destroy Trump. How would the NYT know if they are being fed truth or lies? The timing is very suspect as well since all of this was known for almost a year but leaks happening know. Almost as if someone suddenly has an agenda to execute. To be clear I trust NYT, they are being told/used something. My point is that something, based on all other evidence, is probably nothing but they wouldn't know that. Regardless, NYT is being used like a cheap w****.

Because that's the laziest explanation they can come up with. It couldn't be that the intelligence community is legitimately concerned about these connections. It couldn't possibly be that any of this is real.

 

Yes, people are leaking to the NYT because they are hoping the publication of the news will change the political landscape in the way they want. I'm going to assume journalists at the NYT are savvy enough to understand that, and rigorous and professional enough to get corroboration of the insider information they get before just publishing everything. They aren't wikileaks. We should also bear in mind these leaks are politically motivated, but you seem to think the NYT journalists are actually too stupid to understand why they get information and what they should do to account for those motivations, and that you have to apply another filter because they presumably have not. You don't give them enough credit. Don't blindly accept whatever they tell you, but they do deserve some amount of credit for being responsible, careful journalists.

 

Question: do you think you are more informed than the NYT?

 

I wonder if he knows that the NYT journalist who wrote the 'Trump aids in contact the with Russian intelligence' stories was the same journalist who broke the Hillary private server story.

 

Yes, that's it. I'm too dense to realize the intelligence community is out to get Trump. I didn't realize it because Trump himself told me how much they love him, and talked about his super warm reception that he had when he spoke to them.

But I do thank you for providing so much evidence that the United States intelligence community is trying to frame the President of the United States.

Yes I know NYT and this journalist broke the email story. Yes I think the NYT knows they could be being used. Yes, I think NYT is okay with it because I also know these things. NYTs is dying. CNN, after being called fake news, ratings have gone up. It's about survival for an industry that is on the brink of extinction.

Regarding the leaks. It sure would have been nice to know this info that was apparently known form months before the election. But this trustworthy amazing NYT source hadn't come forward yet. I guess they didn't care then but they care about us now? How thoughtful and brave. Seriously, ask yourselves why now? Why the info held for so long? Who stands to gain the most and who stand to lose the most? I'm sure most of your children have played uno. Why do you hang on to your wild card or draw+4 card until the very end? Always question info that's been held tightly for no apparent reason. Timing is everything and that time sitting on that info allows the holder of that info to massage it, frame it, present it, wait for the right moment, etc..., they are in total control to use that asset to achieve their goals. but no, you guys don't question any of that. instead you all just focus on the headlines and don't even realize that's exactly what those in control of the information want you to do. like moths to a flame it's embarrassing. my advice, resist the glow and think for yourselves.

We were told before the election. Trump and his campaign were asked about it before the election and denied it.

Let me ask you if the intel is so against Trump why did they wait until now? Why didn't they release it before the election?

 

I don't know and that bothers me. It's why I'm very skeptical because there is more going on than what we're being told.

Maybe like everyone else they thought he would lose on his own so they didn't use their assets. Or maybe they didn't want Clinton to win but realized Trump would be much easier to get rid of then she would. Maybe they realize their little espionage club is in jeopardy if big bad Russia is now a friendly, they can't have that. Truth is I don't know because no one is telling us why now and I find that just as intriguing as the leaks themselves.
