Not proof in and of itself. But it is odd that Trump campaign officials are talking to Russian intel officers during the campaign in which we know that Russia intervened in the election in favor of Russia.

    Stuff doesn't look good.

Meanwhile, remember when Flynn was talking about how if he did one tenth of the stuff Hillary did that he would be in jail? He actually did about 10 times what Hillary did, and he still isn't in jail.

Wow. I'm going to be proven right about Russia interfering with our democratic election. There is so much coming out, and it's the tip of the iceburg. I get no pleasure from it. "Enjoy" Trump while you can, Trump supporters. He won't finish his term, in my opinion. He'll either be impeached, or he'll resign.

We will only get the real proof via leaks or a real independent investigation. I expect the GOP to setup some kind of fake investigation via a committee that will tightly circumscribe the scope of the inquiry.

Dems and constituents who care need to keep calling, emailing, and contacting their representatives. All roads lead to Trump... and probably his tax returns, too.

Agreed. There needs to be constituent pressure put on representatives to take action. Although with the FBI investigating, we might get some knowledge despite GOP control of congress.

That's factually inaccurate. What Flynn likely did (assuming he did discuss policy when he met with them, something that hasn't been proven) is a violation of the Logan Act, which is punishable by up to 3 years in jail and is a felony......but has literally never been enforced before and is VERY hard to prove in court. That's nowhere near "10 times" worse than the numerous felonies Clinton was guilty of from unlawful retention of national defense information and obstruction of justice to mishandling classified information.

If that was all that Flynn did that would be accurate. https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...054287507db_story.html?utm_term=.bdca92663092

There is zero proof any of Hillary's foolishness resulted in secrets being shared. We know that Flynn did that. That alone is more than was ever proven of Hillary. Add in Flynn's latest shenanigans and as far as what is proven it's 10 times worse. Now if it comes out that more crap from Hillary's service was compromised then maybe it wouldn't be. But what we actually know right now, he is guilty of more.

When you start off with something irrelevant like that, it hurts your case. Whether or not secrets were shared has no bearing on if she was guilty of the things I suggested she was guilty of. Furthermore, I'd like to know the classification level of what he shared with US allies before I suggested that it was "10 times" worse than mishandling top secret information. For all we know, the "secrets" that he shared with the US allies were merely NOFORN documents and not true "secrets", it would still be a violation to share that information, but not nearly as serious as if it was secret or top secret information. The fact that nothing was done about it without him being a Clinton suggests that it was more of a minor infraction than legitimately sharing "secrets" which would have resulted in a prison sentence.

You are way off base. Flynn intentionally shared classified information with foreign military. If any foreign entities got secrets from Hillary it wasn't because she gave it to them, it was because she was an idiot.

Meanwhile after countless investigations of Clinton there is no proof at all that any secrets were disclosed. They may have been, but there is no proof, and even if they were, it wasn't because she offered them up to the foreign officials. Flynn did just that. He gave them away voluntarily.

Your concern is what level of classification the secrets that Flynn voluntarily gave away were compared to the level of classification of the secrets that Hillary didn't give away and there isn't any proof any foreign entity ever got from her.

Then we can add to what Flynn did with those secrets to the latest Flynn scandal and he's already done more than Hillary has ever been proven to have done.

I am genuinely curious what Bobby does. How does one possibly have that much time on their hands?

Again, do you know the actual classification level of the information he shared with the US allies? I haven't been able to find that information, hell for all we know the violation was sharing FOUO documents which are generally unclassified but restricted. It would be a violation no matter what, but nowhere near the level of unlawfully retaining top secret information or mishandling top secret information.

You also keep talking about "secrets being disclosed" as if it matters in any way. It doesn't. At all.

If anything, it makes it enjoyable watching Flynn lead the "Lock Her Up!" chant. We all need humor in our life. Maybe this administration was a blessing in disguise. Between Melissa McCarthy, John Oliver, and freaking Joe Scarborough (when that guy makes you laugh, that's something else), I haven't laughed this much since.... I don't remember, the debates maybe??

It does matter. if secrets were disclosed. We do know that Flynn disclosed secrets. There is no proof that Hillary's careless breech with the server resulted in any secrets being leaked. Now this additional Flynn crap pops up. If you want to try and twist it to where Flynn didn't do anything wrong compared to Hillary's actions, then that's up to you.

Meanwhile Trump knew almost 3 weeks ago what Flynn did. That shows that Trump wouldn't have done crap about Flynn if the Washington Post hadn't come out with the story about Flynn actually discussing sanctions and their future with the Russians.

It's hilarious listening to Limbaugh and Hannity losing their ****. They pick out something someone says about Ivanka and make it like it's headline news, then are flabbergasted when they're bringing guests on who basically say, yeah, Flynn done ****ed up.

For sure it's funny if the guy who was doing that left from there to go commit a Logan Act violation. He really really really should have known better and I'm glad his career is over as a result.

Legally, it doesn't matter. What you need to know about the "secrets" that Flynn disclosed to US allies without permission is what kind of "secrets" they were. If it was something as simple as an unclassified document marked NOFORN then it's a minor infosec violation, but nothing that serious. If it was something marked Secret or Top Secret then it's not just a major infosec violation but a major criminal offense. Without knowing that, there's no much we can say for certain but given that he's not a Clinton and the case wasn't pursued it is likely that it was something more like a minor infosec violation.

Now if we're talking about Trump knowing about Flynn's likely Logan Act violation and him doing nothing till the story leaked, that's a whole different conversation....but don't try to suggest that what Flynn did was worse than what Hillary did unless you have the right information to make that allegation.

it was discovered that, based on intercepted communications w Russian officials, these senior members of Trump's campaign staff had frequent communications w the Russian officials..
    • Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign manager, a lobbyists w extensive business interest in Russia (just like Trump)
      • when reports of his past business dealings w Russia surfaced, and just won't go away, team Trump replaced him w KellyAnne Conway
    • Carter Page, an early foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign; was an investment banker in Russia in the 2000's
    • Roger Stone, political consultant and lobbyist
    • Mike Flynn, who was fired as the Director of Defense Intelligence, couldn't find a job as a lobbyist/consultant in the US, was paid by Russia's RT news to attend a gala, in Russia, honoring Putin. he was under investigation for refusing to disclose how much he was paid by RT

I want to tap dance on his political grave, relax triggered trumpers--not his physical one nor am I advocating harm or death to the man. However, the revulsion of what has happened to our election, electorate and government is stronger than my delight in the schadenfruede of team MAGA. This is seriously no bueno and I want to shoot myself in the face for thinking it now, but I am hoping it doesn't goes as deep as the articles are hinting at.
