It's pretty impressive that anyone thought Magic would bite on an offering of Dekker/Trez, Brewer, and our first round pick. Brewer alone invalidates any player we are sending out unless that player was Gordon.

Yep, that seems like something some people here is not considering, the Raptors traded to Orlando only positive assets, in any deal for Ibaka we should've traded Brewer too, and that alone would've probably lowered the value of our offer by at least a 2nd rounder if not more.

With Ibaka on board, would the Raptors consider trading us Pat Pat?

They gave up a low 1st rounder and Ross for Ibaka. Its not like they will have any cap room after resigning lowry. With the Warriors probably no team has a realistic chance of getting to the finals, but WCF wouldn't be bad. Other than Howard no big time player has taken the cap room.

    No.

PP is their +/- leader. Why would they trade him?

What do you mean by that last sentence? That big time players don't sign with teams with cap space? Aldridge turned down a max offer from Portland to sign with the Spurs. Durant turned down a max contract last summer to sign a two year deal with Warriors. And Horford signed straight up with the Celtics. Two years ago Lebron signed a two year deal to return to the Cavs vs a max contract in Miami.

Wonder who Morey goes after next. Not sure who he can trade for without giving up a lot or messing with the rotation. One player that he could possibly be looking at is Nikola Mirotic. Horrible season and the Bulls are a mess. Wouldn't be surprised if Taj Gibson, McDermott, Mirotic, and others are available. Mirotic does fit how the Rockets play. Terrible season like I said, but maybe a change of scenery would be good for him. Could be able to get him for cheap and be considered a low risk, high reward.

Mirotic or McDermott would be great. But that don't solve our problem in the middle. And Taj is a backup 5 on a championship contender. We need a monster in the middle.

Imo, if he cannot trade for a big name, he's going to look for "minor" upgrades, names like Barbosa, Tucker, Bogut or interesting players (due to age and upside) with cheap contracts like ("like" because i would like them lol) Frazier, Holmes, Harris, Hezonja...Okafor too maybe, at least that's what i hope, i'm all for acquiring talent if it doesn't cost much, but that's just me.

Mirotic's contract is basically 1yr/5.8m. Probably would require Brewer and a pick or 2 to get it done though...

Yep, it's low but with Anderson i don't see the point to trade for Miro since it's not like he's a better player overall, and he's going to get paid anyway...

    Mirotic would make Anderson tradeable.

That's another story though, but yeah, i can what you're saying, in this scenario makes sense if you want more cap space since Mirotic cap holds will be low and he would give us 10M more to play this summer.

Do you think we can take more by trading Ryan than what we should give up for Mirotic? I think Miro has a pretty low value tbh, not sure about Ryan though...as for Miro, i'm almost starting to think that for how he played this season they'll probably want to keep him and test the market hoping they can keep him to a reasonable deal...is this crazy to think? Eh...

Well, you can shed Brewer's contract and I trust Mirotic shooting 3's more than I do Brewer. I have no clue at this point..

Yes, I do. The question is does the organization have the cajones to do it? I think not. I think Harden has a stranglehold on Morey and all personnel moves. So I suspect we stand pay for the most part and get blasted in the playoffs.

Eh, i think the same and have the same thoughts about Harden-Morey (see Bobby Brown literally burning a roster spot).

I want to wait and see how this Ibaka trade works out. Feel he is a little over-rated by fans and analysts. Plus, after thinking there was no way we coupd have lost the Ty Lawson trade and how Memphis was not a perfect fit for Jeff Green, I also want to wait and see.
