I could see the Rockets being interested in Robin Lopez. But doubt they would give a 1st to get it done.
Why not? Everyone was for this very thing for Serge Ibaka and believe it or not PJ Tucker is one of he best defenders in the NBA. I am more for PJ Tucker than Ibaka for Houston because his price tag is lower and in addition to helping with the boards, he would be he best defender on our team.
Brewer/dekker/1st to denver Kj to brooklyn Gallo/foye to houston Combo dekker and brewers minutes and give them to Gallo. Would be willing to resign Gallo for 18-22per also and make him the third "fringe" star player next to Harden. Opens up roster spot for FA pg (jack/mario) ________ Harden Bev Ariza Rhyno Capela ________ Gordon Gallo Harrell/NeNe Jack/Mario Thoughts?
Interesting. But i think the Nuggets would reject this...aside the fact that maybe (not sure but who knows) their asking price for all their players might be higher now since they're in the playoff race, i don't see them having interest in Dekker since they have Hernangomez which is somehow similar to Sam, and he's good too...also, they just traded a 1st with Nurkic to get Plumlee, it seems like they have enough pick/young players to care that much about a 26th pick...overall they seem like a very hard team to deal with as today, at least for us. Just my two cents btw.
With the Magic getting Ross, I wonder if Jodie Meeks is available. He is 6M expiring and is shooting 40% from 3 this season. Could be a nice 4th guard.
Source on the realgm kings forum has been posting a lot. Said Knicks are trying to deal Melo/Rose/Lee Man I'd love to get lee back on this team.
I like Lee and his game fits with the team. But that contract for a bench guy? 11M this year and then 3 more years? If the Rockets didn't have Gordon, then sure. But I don't know...feels like the Rockets could get similar production to Lee as a bench player for much less resources.
Dekker and a 1st is quite a bit of value for a expiring. It's similar to what the Magic just got for Ibaka, if Dekker isn't a fit for Demver in then replacement of Gallo perhaps a 3 team deal. But honestly if they are looking to sell on Gallo, Dekker would seem like a good fit.
A rental, if we giving up a 1st round pick in talented draft, i rather it not be a rental. plus he's 30+ years.
Yeah, it's good enough if other teams are not giving you something better obviously, what i'm saying is that they really don't need Dekker since they already have a Dekker so they probably don't want to have another Jokic/Nurkic situation (considering they also already have a Mudiay/Murray situation going on), they would probably prefer some sort of veteran player with a good contract, or a guy like Trez maybe (even though they still have Faried, Arthur which is basically a 4...).
Need to bring Pat Pat back home now that the Raps have Ibaka. He has the best plus minus differential in the league.
Well his pending free agency and likely price tag, coupled with having Wilson on a very friendly contract could sway them if they feel he will walk. Dekker plays small ball 4 a lot and the 3, essentially the same as Gallo. Brewer is the concern but they get a 1st back for a rental player. I just think Gallo is the one player that gives us a significant improvement that we could realistically acquire with our limited assets. Gallo would play the perfect ego type role on this team, and has the history of success with mda. He has serious length for our switching defense and would be another secondary playmaking we need from the forward position. He easily switches between the 3 and 4.
Yeah, i agree overall with what you're saying, and i do think he's absolutely leaving Denver, one way or another, it also doesn't seem like they want to keep him (maybe cause they know he's leaving anyway) so the price might be even lower than your idea which would be great, MDA should also be another plus in this situation. I just think they might want other players instead of Sam (and tbh that's better for us cause i don't want to trade Sam) since Hernangomez is very similar, younger, plays the same spot/s.
Not really, Gallo is more SF then PF. He's a scorer, closer to Gordon then Anderson. He puts the ball on the floor and creates his own shot, he can drive to the basket, he can handle to ball.
