Natl Security Advisor Flynn may have violated law speaking w/ Russians

@Commodore, that has occurred to me and I am concerned about it. Not just this leak that forced Flynn's resignation, but this ship is leaking at pretty much every joint. It's hard for me to complain too much because I want the stupid ship to sink. But, this really isn't the right way. Administrations shouldn't be taken down by political operatives using government secrets against each other. I don't really know if this is Trump's people eating each other, or an effort specifically targeted at Trump. The problem is the 'right way' doesn't seem to be available to us. The electoral process failed us, and the Congress as a check and balance seems to be toothless. The media is doing work, but their credibility is at a low ebb (wrongly). The only thing working so far are the courts.

 

I've looked for a report from his presser with Trudeau, I heard some of it live on Monday. He was asked by a Canadian reporter about the differences between the two countries with Canada allowing more Syrians to come over and if Trump was concerned about the norther border being secure, trying to bait him. Trump of course, starts rambling about how luxurious and fantastic the border and cooperation with Canada is because he was elected by a "historic electoral college victory, a landslide". He must have a micro penis, thats got to be it for his ego to be that large and his hands so small and the compulsive need to lie and brag.

What should intel agencies do if they have good reason to believe the WH is compromised? Somewhat of a catch-22, but the ultimate answer is they work through other government channels and if that doesn't get traction, they leak. It's a desperate move in desperate time.

There is still a right approach available -- a full independent investigation into Flynn's lies, into the intel leaks and into this WH ties to Russia. Let's get it over and done with.

You are totally right about that. And the only thing it requires is the political will of the Republican Congress and their willingness to jeopardize the trifecta they just won. I'm actually hopeful it can eventually happen, but I'm also cognizant of what a huge thing that is to expect.
