And Montrezl and a 2nd is not getting us Ibaka. Also silly.

I think we make a small trade for depth. Doesn't look like we'll trade starters now, nor should we. The other possibility is that Morey is holding it close to his vest and has a huge deal coming. Not sure what that would be, though seems pretty risky given how well we've played this year.

I agree, we are going to try to get Harden the MVP, get as far as we can in the playoffs, and look nice for FA's this summer.

We NEED Ibaka or someone like him for cheap (without touching Harden, Gordon, Bev, R Anderson, Ariza, Capela, Dekker) in order to defeat GSW and SA in playoffs. Whatever it takes.

I don't mean to crush your dreams but THIS IS NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM! We are playing for 2nd or 3rd in the West. The player to be had was Ibaka. I strongly felt that if we could've obtained him, we could've been in the Championship discussion. It would have allowed RA to come off the bench, which would have made us a better defensive team (With a Capella and Ibaka frontline) and a better bench.

To me this was an opportunity missed, considering what Toronto gave up. After 4 yrs, we are in the same boat with Harden. He's still playing too many minutes and he doesn't have a true 2nd player next to him. Ibaka would resolved at least one of those.

 

false. getting ibaka while having to give up the depth that has been huge in getting the rockets to 40-17 does not make them in the championship discussion. relax, if hes in the play adding ibaka to this team in 3 months for free is a whole lot better then giving up pieces

 

Morey is talking about bringing in Depth and you guys are talking about players like Illyasova and Tim Frazier. All that's going to do is cause us to loose in 6 or 7 games, rather than 5 games!

Morey did the same thing with T-Mac and Yao, surround them with garbage and guard the payroll!

Dude, you are blind to the fact of what's going on. Before last yr began, most Rocket's fan assumed we had a Championship team and we ended the yr. 41-41. This yr., it is well known that Morey and MDA would've been happy with making the playoffs and being a 6,7 or 8 seed.

When you have an opportunity at a player like an Ibaka, you go after it, if it's not going to breakup your team and a pkg of; a 2017 #1 pick and one of Harrell, Dekker and/or KJ, was not going to breakup our roster. Besides, none of us knows how or what's going to happen next yr.

Since when did Ibaka become some star that you're supposed to make a move for regardless of the situation. Hes not. Once again, garbage moves that's only going to get us knocked off in 6 or 7 games against the Warriors or Spur. Maybe in the 1st Rnd against Memphis. Our frontline does not matchup well against Memphis's.
