A chance Capela is traded, sure. A good chance? I believe you're way out there on that one. What this Rox team needs is their own Unicorn. Give this squad a Unicorn of its own and then LookOut! Alas, there are no Unicorns on the horizon (sigh).
Hey, Cod - - thanks for the post and just a few comments, if I may: Bosh: last I heard Bosh is admitting to worrying about Bosh' health. On talent? Bring him on. Tho he might prefer his home in Cubesville. FreeBirds: bring'm on, perhaps more appropriately, FleeBirds? Rox in 3rd = fighting chance for ParadeTime. Odds say 'no', but what did they about Cleavesburg v GSW or Cubbies v Wahoos or Pats v wingedBirds or Trump v Hills? Reality IMO is when the chance is there, GO FOR IT! Rip? Ain't he the one MJ sold down the river for having the audacity of beating him in 1-on-1 in practice?
What if they are references to Robin Lopez. And remember the Lopez brothers LOVE Disney World. So that could be the "magic" reference. just a thought.
Who told you those stats? From NBA Advanced Stats, 15-16 season, Dwight is: 2nd among all players for Paint Touches 2nd among all Cs for Paint Touches 1st among all players for Post Touches
Wait, what? Trade Capella? LOL - he is a young cheap shot blocking center who is developing just fine. And plays with Harden unbelievably well, he is better than Dwight Howard in this system because he is willing to play his role. He isn't going anywhere. DD
NBA.com stats... for total front court touches... # of times Dwight got to touch the ball on the offensive end of the court... and that includes his offensive rebounds... http://stats.nba.com/players/touche...pe=Regular Season&sort=FRONT_CT_TOUCHES&dir=1
well, post touches, he lead them in 15-16 season do you know why? because he wanted to post up, and the management allowed him to do it even if it was going to be terrible. put him in a situation where he's just doing PnR, rebounds, and blocks, he'll thrive, and he'll be dominating the league. but allow him to be a useless turd by posting up where he still don't have any real post moves, then he'll be almost completely useless on the offensive end, tick off the teammates, and add to the loss column.
Good hint. Looks like Robin. But could be Cody Z? They have Kaminsky and Plumlee so don't need Z. 7 footer, 24 years old. Plays D. Has a big extension, maybe they don't want to pay it anymore.
Ya see, the thing is people like to quote stats without absorbing what they mean... Yes, Dwight led the league in post touches - at 8.4/game... so just over 2 per quarter of basketball... so 2 possessions a quarter Dwight got the ball in the post on the offensive end - once if he got the ball, kicked it back out, re-positioned and got the ball back - for an entire quarter! I'm sorry, but people can rag on Dwight's post game all they want (4th ALL TIME for fg%) - but if you're only gonna feed him in the post once or twice a quarter... you're under utilizing him... His usage rate was down about 20% to the previous 2 years... His total front court touches were at 26.7/game, minus out his offensive rebounds and he touched the ball ONCE for every 4 offensive possessions... I don't know about you... but if I run my butt up n down the floor 4 times, I'd hope I got to TOUCH the ball more than once... and a lot of that has to do with the ball getting sticky and lack of ball movement...
It's a Bev thread, why we diluting it with talks about Dwight of all people. I am surprised Bev didn't get a chance to compete in the all-skills event.
Post-Game on-court interview, Bev says.... "We're a bad ass team." I'm posting the video of that, later. I'm serious.
Every post in this thread should ends with "I'm serious" because Patrick Beverley is serious. I'm serious.
