He was hardcore defending him at a point in one thread where he was hating on Chris Paul. I think he just likes to troll or likes being a contrarian. Either way you guys care too much. It's a logical progression for those of his ilk. I've seen it many times on a NBA wide board I post on. They're always trying to be on the cutting edge to make them self feel important and whatever they aren't on at that moment is unquestionably inferior. Prime example: last year Giannis was these people's golden boy, but now he's gotten too much recognition so they had to drop him. Now they are working on hyping Embiid and saying Giannis can't shoot the 3. For this Joomba guy, it was popular to hate on Harden last year so he defended him, but this year people are recognizing his greatness so Joombum had to flip the script
Eh, I'm not completely on board with the idea that Joomba started trolling ClutchFans because people got back to loving Harden, but it is a possibility. I think he just legit knows how to get people irrationally mad and is a bit of a contrarian. Either that or he is very extreme and changes opinions very quickly. Either way, I wouldn't take what he says very seriously. What has he been saying anyways? Is his main gripe that Harden turns over the ball a lot? What else is it exactly? This is a post from December 12, 2016. We were 18-7 at the time and then continued on our huge winning streak. Maybe sometime there he changed his tune for some random reason? Definitely not a LOF or whatever though lol. No one who makes the comments that Joomba made this past month or two would have ever made this Harden post.
I don't see anything off about this post. In true hipster fashion he fantasizes back to a time where he believes he was the one pioneering knowledge about Harden (when he was on OKC). Now that Harden has mass appeal he can't be affiliated.
All of the insults were just stupid, on both sides here. Sometimes I dont get this board and find it hard to believe these are actually grown up people talking like that. But to your point, Portland made the trade not to get better but in order to not lose a player for nothing in the summer. Off course this team wants to get better and add talent, but you don't just do a trade for the purpose of making a trade. We don't have much to give at this point for Ibaka without losing significant pieces of what brought us success so far, so why should we do it? Continuity is important and I think Morey started to understand that. You can't just shuffle the cards over and over. Morey will try to address the depth in the rotation but to this point we just don't have the ability to bring that extra 2 superstars. You ask fans to be realistic about the team, which is true, but on the other hand you have to be realistic about the current situation with trades. This is what we have. We can add extra on the side but Harden was saying the right thing by acknowledging that he will go to war with those guys next to him. That's what a leader does.
Yeah, oogie boogie, notice he is explaining Harden's past mainly to bash CP3. I can see where DonKnock's theory of posting in "hipster fashion" is what joomba does. It is very common. You flip the script when the masses start agreeing with you. The point is to stand out and stems from a contrarian personality ... like the kid in sociology class who like to disagree with the teacher all the time as a way to get attention.
