Just saw a post referencing Johnny Dangerously and thought it'd be fun to post other movies people may not have seen or even heard of, but are totally worth watching. What are some other favorites?

BBS Hangout - Want to talk about Bollywood movies, Houston movies, Classic movies, a Lego batman movie or just any movies BBS users may have in common outside of the Rockets or specified forums -- this is the place. Politics, Religion, Race? Not here - Take that to the debate forum.

Think with Hollywood essentially getting the greenlight to refilm everything, and rightfully so given the talent and tech that Directors have access too, it begs the question are there any classic films that should just never be allowed to be reshot?

Besides the obvious ones (Animal House, Vacation, The Blues Brothers, Caddyshack)....

Ooh. Now that's a thread topic. I imagined the other day some idiot would think to themselves, hey why not make a "Taxi Driver" for millennials, call it: "Uber Driver". You can put Andy Garfeild as Trey Bickle, make him an alt-right gamer who hates people looking at their phones all the time. Put, I don't know, Selena Gomez, as the prostitute - Sam L. Jackson as the pimp...something like that.

Please don't Hollywood, for the love of God.

That's funny, and very believable that the idea could be tossed around, exactly as you suggest.

    Blade Runner.

It's going to happen, and when it does, millennials will go back to watch the original. Then it will hit them. They have travel back to 1982 to experience a true sci-fi vision of AI in the future.

    What a masterpiece.

    This is an intelligent person.

Here's a pick that I consider an obscure classic. I usually plug it when these kinds of threads pop up.

    The Coca-Cola Kid, 1985.

(not sure why the video below looks like this, but just click on it. Well worth watching. It's in HD)

    Oh yes. Greta Scacchi.

And it's a good movie too.
